@patrizi13629901@Latlantista Don't worry.
After they take back Crimea they'll have a referendum with armed men going into people's houses "helping" them to vote.
It worked for Russia in 2014, it should work just as well for Ukraine when it's their turn, right?
@DatManFrancis@ianbremmer It will take a couple of centuries at the current pace.
If Putin and the Russian people can just be patient for that long, of course.
@KathleenCda@gensler_john@ianbremmer While we're at it, how many Russian cities have been razed to the ground? How many thousands of Russian children kidnapped?
@gensler_john@ianbremmer Yeah, stupid Ukraine. Why on earth are they invading Russia, razing whole cities to the ground, raping women and stealing tens of thousands of Russian children.
No... wait.
@MacBricks27@mmpadellan To be fair, Trump is probably working really hard on the concepts of his plan to replace Obamacare.
Right after he releases his taxes and the full, unredacted Epstein files.
@FishFish3145@mmpadellan What? People were (rightly) crying bloody murder!
But Biden hasn't been president going on two years now.
When do *you* believe we should hold Trump responsible for the hard times middle America is facing?
Next year?
2028?
@BigSui31@theMythic_Minx@WarMonitor3 Ironically, these are the same people who will affirm with great emphasis that, if another country were to bomb the US, they would *never* yield to enemy demands, however much damage was made.
Funny how they can't make the simple cognitive leap that others would do the same.
@theMythic_Minx@WarMonitor3 And what will renewed kinetic action solve that hasn't been tried before?
This is the ultimate example of "when all you have is a hammer, all solutions are nails."
@LNGFrankie@CSI_Starbase@SawyerMerritt I'll believe it when I see it.
Space CEOs aren't exactly known for their realistic time lines.
They have every incentive to talk up shorter lead times, and none to talk about potential setbacks.
@CSI_Starbase@SawyerMerritt Remember the dude arguing with you, affirming with great fervor that it could be done in six months?
Yeah... probably wiping all that egg from his face right now.
@TrueSlazac Because the left in Latin America also talks a good game, but is beholden to the same oligarchs that run the country when the right is in power.
People get fed up with their hypocrisy after a while, the same way they get fed up with the right's incompetence after an equal time.
@Meta_VKG Star Citizen, as it is, is already incredibly entertaining. (Especially after crafting & blueprints.)
But as someone who still has his original Wing Commander 5 1/2 floppy disk, I can't express how hyped I am for another Chris Roberts single player game.
@BrianEastwoodx To be fair, these countries have a history of never being stable for long.
And living there is much different than thinking of living there. Unless you are uber-rich, services and security are never as good as advertised.
@Crypto_LedgerX@WarMonitor3 Russia spent the last four years trying to subjugate the second poorest country in Europe.
Great Britain, France and Germany will be fine.
US power projection, on the other hand, will become significantly more difficult and costlier both in men and materiel.
@WarMonitor3 The funny part is where some people think that the US has all these bases in Europe to protect them.
This is all about power projection.
Closing our bases there reduces drastically our options when taking the fight to the global stage and reduces our dominance abroad.
