Ann Penning

welcome to my website

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries @LizFremantle Don't want to be cheeky, but could you possibly order them on my record? #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries @LizFremantle with great political intrigue and some guilty pleasure romance, I'll definitely be reading more #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries I think Cecil uses this to his advantage as due to being behind the scenes, he is largely an unexpected threat #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries @pipfielding It seems like Penelope has been whitewashed from history, I love that she's brought her to life for us to enjoy

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@KnittyMcSprag @BpoolLibraries I thought the book was quite sympathetic towards Cecil, did you?

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@clancym123 @BpoolLibraries I am a huge non-fiction reader so v. interested to know what elements are true and how much is creative license

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@clancym123 @BpoolLibraries Astonished to discover that Penelope was actually a real person, maybe I should have paid attention at school

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@pipfielding @BpoolLibraries @StarterPat I'm not too sure of her really. I liked her brother Robin though #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries I liked that she described that Penelope had decided to live her life 'as a man', I think that's a compliment in those times

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@KnittyMcSprag I loved her! and she shares the same name with my daughter, could I lie and say I named her after Devereux? #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@WordpoolFest @BpoolLibraries she struck me as a remarkable woman for her day, well for anytime really #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries @WordpoolFest I'd love to be treated like a pet! My dog has a wonderful life, OH I'd swap lives with him in seconds

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@KnittyMcSprag great to see women in powerful roles #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@StarterPat being the influencer #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@StarterPat I love @LizFremantle's depiction of women, they are so powerful. In history you often see them being influenced rather than...

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@BpoolLibraries Absolutely! I have never been much of a historical reader but this really brought the era to life for me! #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@clancym123 @BpoolLibraries @LizFremantle Are there any tickets left for this event? #bookpool

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@bpoollibraries Sorry, I have read Watch the Lady and loved it.... I've had a couple of tipples eep

[Ann Penning @apenning52]

@bpoollibraries Love Twitter Book Club so this is the first @LizFremantle book I have read but it won't be the last! #bookpool
