It's difficult to discuss an MOU that is not public -- the precise terms of which we do not know.  If it is done and will be signed in 48-72 hours, let's see it.

And regardless of the terms, my understanding is that there is another 60-day period of negotiation.  I assume that involves the particulars.

My view has not changed because the Iranian regime is what it is -- that is, it will violate whatever final agreement is signed, certainly after the end of the Trump administration.  And I doubt any future president, certainly not a Democrat, will enforce it, which would require military action.  

We have the enemy where we want it.  We may never again. It was right to attack them, and in a few weeks' time they were on their back.  We hit the brakes for 9 weeks.  First the Israelis and then we went back to military action this week, and the regime was badly damaged beyond the original damage.  Rather than destroy it, including arming the Iranian people, we have an MOU and future negotiations.

The Islamic Republic, in its support for Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon, has started yet another military conflict and further revealed its anti-Iranian nature. This regime has taken the Iranian nation hostage and views the lives and property of Iranians as mere tools for exporting terror, war, and instability.

In this conflict, as always, the Islamic Republic is responsible for any damage to Iran's infrastructure and for the lives of innocent civilians on both sides. The Iranian nation, the first and greatest victim of this regime, knows full well that as long as the Islamic Republic remains in power, terror, violence, and instability will continue to loom over Iran, the region, and the world.

Peace, security, and sustainable prosperity are only possible with the end of this regime. The solution is not negotiation with the IRGC and the terrorist occupiers of Iran; the solution is to stand with the Iranian nation and support its struggle to bring an end to the Islamic Republic.

در روزهای اخیر، بانو شیرین عبادی و دیگر اعضای کمیته تدوین مقررات عدالت انتقالی هدف توهین‌ها و حملاتی سخیف و شریرانه قرار گرفته‌اند.

من از بانو عبادی و دیگر اعضای این کمیته قدردانی می‌کنم که در این موقعیت خطیر، بر پایه وظیفه ملی، آستین بالا زده‌اند و در کنار اکثریت ملت بزرگ ایران ایستاده‌اند.

کمیته تدوین مقررات عدالت انتقالی و اعضایش، تا زمانی که همچون امروز در چارچوب منافع ملی و در مسیر پیروزی انقلاب شیروخورشید گام برمی‌دارند، از حمایت و اعتماد من برخوردارند.

ترکیب این کمیته، جلوه‌ای روشن از گونه‌گونی در عین اتحاد انقلاب ملی ایران است.

حمله به بانو عبادی و دیگر اعضای کمیته از سوی کسانی که مدام از تکثرگرایی، گفتگو و اتحاد سخن می‌گویند، نشان‌دهنده دورویی و استاندارد دوگانه این افراد است، و اینکه به آنچه موعظه می‌کنند باور ندارند. این واژگان برای آنان، تنها ابزاری برای دشمنی با ملت بزرگ ایران است.

ملت ایران به این دشمنی‌ها وقعی نمی‌نهد؛
مصمم، متحد و استوار، در مسیر پیروزی انقلاب شیروخورشید و اجرای عدالت پیش می‌رود.
