@ggraham Actually I don’t think that’s true. Resilience and connectivity are orthogonal. Concentration and JIT inventories have much more impact on resilience and supply chain risk. Markets cannot organize resilience bc its benefits cannot be economically captured.
@ggraham@mnolangray Fair points, but on the honeybees you found the science! I am always open to novel explanations. If they are just interesting observations, and offered as such, fine. If I’m being asked to change my life bc of unfounded things, I have a big problem with that.
@ggraham@mnolangray I don’t know, I am kinda of a process guy. And I get concerned when people believe crazy illogical things get too much power, regardless of their other good ideas. I don’t trust the process.
Wow @mercury is really impressive. Turnkey banking, expense cards, invoicing, accounting & Stripe integration, it keeps doing things I didn't expect it to. Has made spinning up a modern biz incredibly easy!
@TODNewsHub I love mass transit. So much that I did an entire term paper on it, moved to NYC for a while w no car. And in Atlanta I live near a MARTA station. But I don’t get LR on the beltline. I don’t see what problem it solves. Show me numbers not pictures.
@Jason That said, if it doesn’t end up a winner take all marketplace, it’s possible uber is still needed.
Low probability but if it comes true UBER will skyrocket in value.
@Jason Uber’s value is from solving the cold start problem and building the largest marketplace. However, self driving cars don’t have a cold stat problem. They will be supply constrained. I struggle to see why high volume self driving companies will need them.
@SeeBQ@davempayne Looking foreward to the post camp report! AI powered education should be transformative. I am playing around with it now, protyping an app for learning piano.
@ggraham It’s much more capital efficient than rooftop as you get large economies of scale and easier mounting.
Of course it does take more space. But us humans use a lot of power.
