@civettine@ConditorCancri thank you lmao i felt like i was going crazy,, her 12 y/o + 7 y/o daughter are both at summer camp why would anyone much less dozens of people assume/believe that this letter’s from the oldest 😭
@Spinny_3000@burnthelilacs she didn’t think he was a trans women, if you look at her recent tweets she’s really is just that weird about both trans women and trans men
@cinnamonmaxxing even if you were to take the wording in the best faith possible (lol), the original post says “girl and nongirl hypothetically and while unobserved;” pushing trans people into that category bc of an imposed/incorrect gendering as female still feels pretty crazy
@burnthelilacs even when you get it prescribed, every single t label says “for intramuscular use only” and yet shockingly we subq users are still kicking 💀
@DfctivFireplace@spenshi of course. to be clear i’m poking fun at the logic of “massive tattoo of unwanted organ” by tongue in cheek pointing out the general possibility of its removal, not making literal claims about access here
@ttttestosterone like i’m really not a fan of that language either but it was pretty clear that you were expressing a personal frustration w/ your own body, i’m sorry you’re getting so much bad faith interaction on a post already expressing a painful difficulty relating
@blckbrdquitter people say “the surgery” in reference to trans men and mean top lol the “it’s being pushed on us” narrative here is even more ridiculous than usual,,, if anything whenever it comes up i see dozens of comments like his 💀
@casketmourn (as a trans man whose mother used to cry at me at the mere thought of short hair), you were clearly right and the amount of debate about it was shocking,, it’s like GenderRoles101 not even Transfeminism101 that being forced into masculinity is a more explicitly violent process
@sapphyreblayze ofc supporting hazing wld be toxic but her tone felt very tongue-in-cheek. this was her explanation about the phrase—again original tweet’s tone was a bit sarcastic but i believe she was trying to get at that point about “internalizing that ur a [man] on a material level”
while the phrase "welcome to womanhood" is condescending as hell it speaks to a very real sense of shared experience and if i hadnt heard it so often early in transition i probably wouldn't have internalized so strongly that trans women are women in like an actual material sense
@Puckmeat i keep seeing him moving the goalposts in replies and acting like he’s talking about “there aren’t enough trans men w political power to systemically oppress women” like sure okay let’s just act like passing can’t take the form of social power,,
@labubu_funkopop it’s often the same old “we can tell what you really are even if you think you pass” rhetoric reformulated to match their disingenuous politics; receiving that vitriol on multiple fronts esp from a group of people whose own rights you would defend is understandably hurtful
