Trump has a meltdown and ends the interview
Welker: Just to be very clear, there's no evidence of what you're saying.
Trump: There’s a lot of evidence. There’s tremendous evidence. There’s nothing but evidence. The election was rigged. And it’s happening again in California. They’re cheating.
Welker: Do you have evidence?
Trump: All I have to do is look.
Welker: That’s not evidence. The local officials acknowledge they are slow
Trump: They’re crooked. Just like you’re crooked. You’re either crooked or stupid.
Things most Americans agree on:
Groceries cost too much.
Tariffs suck and make no sense.
Congress and Presidents shouldn’t trade stocks.
The debt is a mess.
The border should be secure, but legal immigration is good.
Endless wars are stupid, especially ones that nobody wants and have never been explained.
Americans are exhausted.
AI is like my new best friend that also might be trying to take my job, my ability to think for myself, and my humanity in the process. Yo like I love you, but WTF, but I still love you.
Diversity is actually awesome! The opposite is boring AF.
Canadians are super fucking cool.
Mexicans are chill.
Putin isn’t a good guy looking out for America’s best interest. Rocky IV and Miracle are great movies.
Good neighbors are a blessing.
Freedom of religion and coexistence without having to blow each other up is probably a good idea.
We all question, are we alone in the universe?
We all fuck up along the way.
Epstein didn’t hang himself.
The Trumps and Epstein were best friends for decades. It’s like Bert trying to tell us Ernie was just an acquaintance in the same social scene on Sesame Street back in the day.
The Cowboys suck. Go Birds!
Things we’re told to fight about:
Me.
Laptop.
Vaccines.
Transgenders in sports.
Pronouns.
That’s the joke.
@LadofDissent@DrNeilStone It moved from months to years to 6 years to now a decade or 2.
What mechanism would cause people to drop dead a decade or 2 after receiving the vaccine?
@DaleBerteau@NickDecoteau4@MacFarlaneNews Yes. They purposefully divided districts with majority Black voters to dilute the Black vote
We need districts that use existing boundaries vs making make believe lines to engineer districts to a certain outcome.
The Southern states did exactly what you don't want
@DaleBerteau@NickDecoteau4@MacFarlaneNews Yes. This is exactly what should happen and following existing boundary lines while you're at it.
This is not what the new maps of Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana etc have done.
They have gerrymandered to reduce the Black and therefore Democrat vote.
@NickDecoteau4@DaleBerteau@MacFarlaneNews No, but you could follow existing boundary lines (e.g., counties and cities) and therefore significant reduce gerrymandering
@NickDecoteau4@DaleBerteau@MacFarlaneNews There is no way to draw a Republican district in Massachusetts without significant gerrymandering.
Exact representation is indeed difficult. But gerrymandering to secure your party's majority, and accordingly racial discrimination, is very possible and is what is happening
@NickDecoteau4@DaleBerteau@MacFarlaneNews They overlap by 70% percent. They're essentially the same thing.
Either way. Why shouldn't a state's repsentation match its political party make up?
Why should a state that's 60/40 Republicans be represented by 86% Republicans?
@DaleBerteau@MacFarlaneNews Well, then Alabama, Tennessee and Louisiana need to revert their maps because they drew maps to give preferences to rural whites
