@GetOnTap Sorry but I don't find it even remotely funny. To me, there's nothing funny about having CHILDREN cussing, especially not that much.
Has nothing to do with weak comedy. I hate the "offended by everything" thing but children should be innocent, not portrayed with a gutter mouth.
@naomibrockwell One major advantage to living in a small town with an aging population is that most businesses still accept cash. Even so, I've noticed most areas around me (even more developed, busy areas) still accept cash. I haven't used anything but cash in physical stores.
@AliceWillNot@naomibrockwell Well, legally, yes: they have to accept cash. But many businesses make it really challenging to do so. I'm just fortunate to live in not only a great small town but also an area that doesn't really push you one way or the other, aside from those goofy fast food kiosks lol
Kinda shocked how many likes/RTs this got. I assume someone RTed it that had a decent reach. Either way, it's pretty cool considering my account was falsely suspended just a week ago and restored two days ago.
In case you happened to believe that ID collection systems ("age verification") was actually about protecting anyone, they're already starting to drop the act and show their true intentions: they want the death of privacy.
@bavedikian@BestBuy@FedEx I stopped buying from Amazon because a driver chucked delicate electronics at a concrete front porch and BestBuy, you tell me, has betrayed us...
Bought a $1,742.80 camera online from BestBuy.
The FedEx delivery driver stole it. FedEx admitted it.
But BestBuy won’t give a refund. They said we need to “work with local law enforcement.”
Thought everyone should know if you buy from @BestBuy and a @FedEx driver steals what you paid for, your money is gone. Neither company will make it right.
I’ve spent over $30K at BestBuy and will never spend another penny there.
My birthmom was raped. That is how I was conceived. She was young, not quite 16. Family demanded she abort me, and offered to pay. She said no.
During an ultrasound, doctors saw I would be special needs. I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. The only thing that changed was she sought out a family who would want a special needs baby.
My parents were qualified and willing to raise a child with special needs.
Of course, when I was born there was no sign of hydrocephalus, but that's a story for another time.
Special needs babies deserve life. They deserve love, care, and life.
@APT_ea Another true intention of what this bullshit is so that way they can make it easier for bad actors like stalkers, groomers, hackers and so on track down their victims.
This is why they hide it underneath "child safety" so they can make people believe it like a bunch of sheep.

‼️🚨 BREAKING: Sony PlayStation's age-verification partner Yoti is reporting GrapheneOS users to authorities for using GrapheneOS, due to "past security concerns."
@Andrewnsnyder I have yet to read Children of Hurin (~1/3 through The Silmarillion), but I love the whole idea of "Morgoth's ring". It's a good lesson that evil always overcompensates and either tries to conquer everything, or centralize its power, until it topples under its own weight.
After about a week of waiting, my account was restored. It was falsely suspended over "inauthentic behavior", but has since been restored.
I'm going to be finding alternative communication methods with my friends in case something like this happens again.
