Did you know that Whitney Houston’s debut LP, called simply Whitney Houston had 4 number one singles on it?
It’s hard to choose a favorite among so many great tracks, but “The Greatest Love of All” is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it’s not too late to better ourselves. Since, it’s impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It’s an important message, crucial really. And it’s beautifully stated on the album.
Anytime I want to I can turn it on.
But every break in posting I take, I return with 10+ more books read, and many other achievements, that make the next cycle 10x stronger.
The Tariff Man is a force to be reckoned with.
Certain people will often make the claim that Hamilton was not a true supporter of tariffs or industrial policy except in an extremely limited sense.
His "Diversity of Talents" argument, highlighted here by Dr. Frith, does much to dispel this notion.
My article "Alexander Hamilton, Tench Coxe, and the Diversity of Talents" has just surpassed 500 reads.
Everyone cites Hamilton's infant-industry argument from the Report on Manufactures. Almost no one cites his lesser-known diversity of talents argument - an argument which represents Hamilton’s most significant departure from Adam Smith.

Not been posting much lately because I'm reading a lot more and have many really exciting and profound opportunities on the horizon. Surely you understand.
If there’s one thing Alexander Hamilton despised, it was democracy in America---“our real disease,” as he once called it. His entire career was dedicated to suppressing the democratic impulses unleashed by the Revolution and to establishing a national oligarchy.

Or just come to terms with the reality that we need tariffs and industrial policy to compete with China. You would think especially given that they would like the United States to not just prioritize China, but deal with all problems everywhere, they would recognize the need for our industrial base to be defended, expanded, and subsidized and developed.
I am filled with optimism at the fact that the world's first trillionaire was made not by hedge funds or market manipulation, but by building the infrastructure to take America to the stars.
Right now, I think the following would be great investments in internal improvements:
1. Advanced nuclear: molten salt reactors, thorium, etc.
2. Ultra High Speed Rail (over 1000 mph)
3. NAWAPA
4. Nuclear desalination for the American Southwest
5. A non-rocket space launch system: Mass Drivers, Launch Loops, Orbital Ring Space Elevator, etc.
All of these would have high return on investment and push broad-based economic growth
@AmericanAffrs@ppavnr it should never be forgotten that this was the deliberate aim of a Malthusian lobby that sought not just too limit production, but to fundamentally limit human population growth
