@ClarksonsFarm1 Agents of change.. Fortify white flour but not wholemeal.. people will buy wholemeal..
Keep energy prices high..people will run to solar.. destroy farming here, import rubbish and control food supply.. tax fertiliser but not food produced using untaxed fertiliser. Total control.
@ClarksonsFarm1 And... we're having to use imported pizza flour if we don't want folic acid in our food. Imported white flour is not subject to the folic acid mandate, therefore there will be a huge demand for more imported stuff. People with scents should avoid folic acid, under guidelines.
@LindaLazarides@ukmfa1@ukcolumn And what of immunosurpressed people already taking folic acid everyday? They'll be way over safe doses and will have to source food carefully to avoid other health problems. With 1 in 2 people diagnosed with cancer, and therfore likely to be on immunosurpressants, a huge danger.
@smithsmm Teaching, in it's best form, is a conversation which is why a script doesn't work. Having notes as an aide memoire is useful if there are ideas that need to be included in a lesson.
@MartinSLewis If you have a smart speaker, just say the word sunglasses a couple of times, or talk about car insurance...within an hour you'll get pop ups in your phone offering you many versions of both those items...
@PieCorbett@MichaelRosenYes In total agreement. I might add that unless the modelling and use of language takes place in the right environment, it's not much use. That's why school visits, trips and real world experiences are still vital. These and story-telling is also massively important.
@ClareCraigPath Have signed, and keep up the good work. And..start collecting data from Dec 26. We need to prove that folic acid is doing harm. Also..we need to get the g'ment to ensure food labelling is clear as some supermarkets have labelled sprouts as having folic acid, when its folates.
We have a big problem that once public health declares something a "public good" then people will assume it can do no harm.
This is unscientific,
iIllogical
And dangerous.

@MichaelRosenYes@Mr_Raichura Mine love using a camera to record what they've seen instantly, then remember later and talk about it. How they felt, what was exciting, scary or unexpected. Having said that, grandma here with plenty of time to do walks...
@MichaelRosenYes@Mr_Raichura Being in the real world listening to the sounds of the wind in the trees, the fire engine, the birds, the train, the lights/sounds when the train barrier goes down, waves on the beach..Getting them to notice by being peaceful for a moment and absorbing what's around them. 1/2
@MichaelRosenYes I believe they object because it is something that cannot be measured, unlike reading or writing tests. I guess thry could record and transcribe. O
@USofStephen@A1an_M Not folates. These are found in naturally in leafy green veg and what the body needs. Folic acid is manufactured and not naturally occurring. Too much can cause problems for cancer, kidney and heart patients. People with scents are asked to avoid it.
