It is totally understandable that BJP supporters and Sangh IT cells are branding the protesting students/people as anti national. Because the protest is against their political party and the leader they support.

But TVK cadres and Chief Minister Vijay’s fans getting offended at everyone who is protesting and asking them where were you for the last five years and why are you protesting now is most lamest thing.

Ofcourse people in Tamil Nadu did not immediately protest, but things gained momentum when police brutality began. When students in Jantar Mantar were beaten up. Unfortunately it coincided with Janayanagan’s release date and people criticised TVK and Vijay’s fans for hyping up for the farewell film when something serious is happening in the nation’s capital.

That doesn’t mean the protest is happening against TVK or the Chief Minister. The protest is about BANNING NEET. Tamil Nadu still stands for it. The Chief Minister is only criticised for his silence on the issue.

A person like Vijay, with so much crowd pull. If he can organise a stage and speak for 10 minutes showing his solidarity to the protest. The amount of traction the whole student movement would get is immeasurable. When he himself claims that he is against NEET, and his party’s stand is for abolishing NEET. But on contrary his silence is what makes people criticise his choices.

And if you have to brand anyone who criticises against your beloved man. Then this is nothing but a cult following, just like what Modi ji followers do. You guys are no different from BJP and its followers.

Understand this is not DMK’s protest. DMK or any other political party is just showing their support to the student movement. The movie release you all waited for is over. You guys had your farewell moment for the man you loved for decades. Now come and join the protest forgetting all your political differences.

This movement needs all your strength.
