“It’s been 5 months since we’ve spoken to him and he was being poorly treated with a serious (eye) condition. I just can only hope nothing else has gone wrong in there.” Imran Khan’s son @Kasim_Khan_1999 speaks to CNN’s Christiane @amanpour.

What’s happening to Imran Khan is outrageous. I hope @elonmusk can do something to stop this obvious suppression of support for him, and that the Pakistan authorities afford Imran his basic human rights.
A personal plea to @elonmusk
My two sons have not been allowed to see or speak to their father Imran Khan who has been held unlawfully (acc to the UN) for 22 months of solitary confinement.
X is the only place left where we can still tell the world he is a political prisoner without basic human rights.
Yet every time I post about him, the reach inside Pakistan (and often globally) is throttled to almost zero.
You promised free speech, not “speech but no one hears it”.
Please fix the visibility filtering on my account so we can get the message out! @MarioNawfal
Grateful to be nearly finished drafting the PAKISTAN DEMOCRACY ACT. The bill:
- Sets down that it is US policy to restore democracy in Pakistan
- Mandates a 30-day determination of sanctions on Asim Munir
- Reviews all generals & gov officials & their families for sanctions
I am grateful to share that I am drafting the PAKISTAN DEMOCRACY ACT to ban from the United States those in the Pakistan military government responsible for the wrongful persecution and imprisonment of Imran Khan. Thank you!
Let’s see who is CLEARLY POPULAR In Pakistan after @ImranKhanPTI , Like and Repost for @RichardGrenell , comment for rest of the two. Your Time starts now👇
Retweet to participate for Imran Khan's safety :
We urge the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights @volker_turk to immediately send a delegation to Pakistan to directly investigate the condition of @ImranKhanPTI in prison as credible sources reveal his life is in imminent danger by the Pakistani state and the illegitimate government of Pakistan, who recently committed #IslamabadMassacre by firing on unarmed peaceful protesters in Islamabad on 26 November 2024.
The United Nations has itself demanded the immediate release of @ImranKhanPTI who has championed human rights and democracy in a 28 year ongoing struggle.
Further instability and chaos in Pakistan will negatively impact the world. We urge the United Nations @UN to uphold its duty to protect human rights and act now.

Congratulations to Pakistan's Olympic flag bearer Arshad Nadeem for an absolute brilliant javelin performance winning a gold medal for Pakistan.
His persistence & perseverance has done him & the nation proud. It is the first time any Pakistani has won an individual gold for athletics in the Olympics. He is an inspiration for our younger generation.
In a constitutional democracy with a written constitution parliament is not supreme in the sense of having unconstrained power. All actions of our parliament are subject to judicial review.
The American silence on @ImranKhanPTI's imprisonment is outrageous. Even for a country with a long history of double standards and attempted coups, the US involvement in Pakistan is embarrassing.
May Allah free him and allow him to see true justice in this world and the next
