Excellent proverbe !
"Quand est le meilleur moment pour planter un arbre ? Il y a vingt ans. Le deuxième meilleur ? Aujourd’hui !"
Prenons conscience et réfléchissons à ce proverbe pour que les générations futures est un avenir meilleur.

You don't have to just collect IMO (indigenous microorganisms) directly on the ground, you can also gather them directly from BAMBOO and other plants.

A magnificent pair of Pheasant-tailed Jacanas in their stunning breeding plumage gracefully wander through the wetlands in search of food. Their rich golden necks, contrasting black bodies, brilliant white wings, and elegant elongated tail feathers make them one of the most striking sights of the breeding season. With their exceptionally long toes, they effortlessly walk across floating vegetation, carefully picking insects, snails, seeds, and other tiny aquatic creatures hidden among the water plants. Moving in perfect harmony, the pair showcases the beauty of nature while highlighting the importance of healthy wetlands that provide these remarkable birds with a safe habitat for feeding and breeding.

Challenge: pick a corner of your lawn and stop mowing it for the rest of the summer. See what pops up and makes it home.
Clover, violets, self-heal, and wild strawberry might already be in your grass waiting for exactly this. Within a couple weeks, flowers will pop up. Within a month you'll have more insects and small animals visiting.
In the fall, it'll be there to provide important overwintering habitat.
The lawn is already full of habitat. Let it grow.
Many ask, "Why do I sometimes feel restless during meditation?"
Restlessness is not a sign that meditation isn't working. Often, it is a sign that something within is asking to be released.
Throughout the day, we accumulate impressions from our thoughts, emotions, interactions, and experiences.
Heartfulness Cleaning is a simple practice that helps dissolve these impressions, so the heart becomes lighter and meditation naturally becomes deeper.

Whatever you do, just do it well. And don’t do anything that you will be ashamed of tomorrow. The whole world may say you are wrong, but you are not ashamed of what you have done. You must always keep that freedom in your life.

🌳 The Greenbelt is still worth protecting
Many Ontarians breathed a collective sigh of relief when the provincial government reversed its controversial 2022 Greenbelt land removals – but that does not mean the pressure has lessened (or should).
Proposed mega-highways like Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass, along with ongoing planning and legislative changes, continue to raise concerns about the future of Ontario's farmland, wetlands, forests, and drinking water.
The Greenbelt is not just empty land waiting for development.
The Greenbelt:
🌾 Protects some of Canada's most productive farmland.
💧 Safeguards rivers, wetlands, and drinking water.
🌿 Provides habitat for wildlife and helps fight climate change.
🏡 Supports healthy, resilient communities for generations to come.
Now is not the time to turn a deaf ear
The Greenbelt belongs to all Ontarians. Let's remain vigilant and continue protecting one of our province's greatest natural and agricultural assets.

Out watering the new saplings and pollinator patches. It brings home why we need to protect the mature trees we already have. They can cope with conditions like these, but the young trees won’t survive without watering. Today, the orchard feels around 10°C cooler than the road.
As a family, we're heading back to France and the UK for the annual summer school break, just as temperatures here in Abu Dhabi begin climbing above 45°C. While the heat is intense, much of the discomfort is softened by the excellent air conditioning found almost everywhere - apartments, offices, and shopping malls alike.
Abu Dhabi has now taken things a step further with its first fully air-conditioned outdoor walkway, which opened in late 2024/early 2025. Located in Al Nahyan near the cafés and offices around the Al Mamoura building, this 70-metre path maintains a comfortable 24°C year-round thanks to underfloor cooling, a shaded roof that filters sunlight while trapping cool air, and noise-reducing walls. It's a pilot project by the Department of Municipalities and Transport aimed at making walking in the city bearable during extreme heat - and the first of its kind in the UAE.
This fits into a wider Gulf trend, with similar projects underway in Dubai and Qatar, and more cooled promenades planned for Abu Dhabi. Still, it's a dedicated path rather than fully air-conditioned streets just yet, but it is a sign of things to come.
That said, we're not exactly looking forward to the heatwaves now sweeping across Europe.
