@Masterofwhine@AmauryCarrasco The mark up looks to be higher than 3 times cost. Some of those bottles can be found for considerably less, but not at a “fancy” spot where they’re paying for the expensive real estate
@Masterofwhine@AmauryCarrasco Restaurants in Ontario don’t buy direct, all wine goes through the LCBO distribution system even if it’s only sold to restaurants & never appears on LCBO shelves. Restaurants get 10% off of the retail price determined by the LCBO & wine agent.
@elonmusk You could at least get your sequence of events right. Also the killing of the Gracchi by the Optimates & their stifling of societal change/adaptation is what eventually did the republic in
@jamiegoode Natty lovers gonna love, Natty haters gonna hate. The people in the middle will like some of his wines and not others depending on their taste. He is at least honest about the kind of wine he makes. Burgundy’s are expensive but that’s what the market will bear…🤷🏻♂️
@adamliaw MSG gives a one dimensional umami flavour, probably because it’s the salt of only 1 amino acid. Umami from other sources will be broader as you’re getting the salts of other amino acids in addition to glutamate. Colatura di Alici > MSG, at least to my taste.
@engineers_feed Making one side of the square 4x4 = 16 units long. It’s a square so sides are = & area = 16x16 = 256 units. You can bust out the pen and paper for the formulas, but why? when you can just look at it and get the right answer.
@engineers_feed Green (G) and Pink’s (P) short sides (ss) are half the length of Yellow’s (Y) long side (ls). G & P are the same area as Orange (O) but there ls aren’t as long so their ss must be longer than O’s ss. Visually Y’s ls isn’t 4x O’s ss so therefore you can fit 3 O ss into Y’s ls /1
@mosseri If your users wanted tik-tok they would down load tik-tok. Stop trying to be tik-tok, go back to being what Instagram was (ya know, the thing that your users liked and signed up for in the first place)
@youarestars Love is the only answer. Love for your fellow humans is self love. Selfishness is self hate. Love your neighbour as you love yourself and paradise is ours and our children’s.
@karonliu At work yes, because of “consistency of product”
At home, not unless it’s a completely new dish being cooked from a recipe and even then there’s probably some “that looks/tastes about right”
@TamarHaspel So you’re less likely to get sick from pathogens &/or cancerous cells will be more likely to be “weeded out” by your (fully functional) immune system.
@TamarHaspel “Good” food shared with people you care for is medicine for reduction of stress & the happiness of the mind. Reduced stress leads to lower levels of activation of the HPA pathway & cortisol production. Lower [cortisol] in the blood means your immune system won’t be suppressed.
@skallagram @CJ_Toronto @robferguson1@celliottability Sounds like it would be a lot more effective to close another sector of the economy rather than restaurants again
@skallagram @RileyHaze3 @CJ_Toronto @robferguson1@celliottability I don’t know who, I know we’ve paid enough, how about you? It gets harder when you have to put your money where your mouth is.
