Just switched to @Optus and it's been the biggest shitshow I've ever experienced. I'm literally trying to give them more money and their useless system won't let me.
Saving 50 bucks a month on NBN and it's not worth it.
@pun_watch @brimdang @LisaDib1 @aDavidShaw @phoenix_feet When did we record this? I have no recollection of any of these stories. Really adds to the tension of the listen!
How a flawed idea (popular among teachers & in ed schools, but perennially debunked by cognitive scientists) is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers. https://t.co/y5lFPHhgle
@DylanInnerWest I'd say bracket creep is a good thing anyway, but even if not:
- incomes don't grow at CPI
- government expenses don't grow at CPI
It's not clear what the correct indexing would be.
So why not have parliament declare what they think the rates should be from time to time?
@jmrphy Sorry so many of the replies to this are pieces of shit who had terrible, boring lives before their kids distracted them for a while.
Completely reasonable worry. Modern parenting culture is full on. Even worse for mums obv, but there's a lot more support and awareness.
@spargles Oh ok. Interesting. Sounds very european to my ears
And I take it these folks aren't deliberately it in an anachronistic, red-wedge, keep-the-flame-burning sense?
@emollick Yeah this is wrong. I introduced it to my kids the other day and it blew their minds. They had no idea.
I think this is very specific to the sort of field you're in. Most people don't care
@phoenix_feet Oh I see. That makes sense.
Now you put it that way, seems like a bit of a loophole in rugby that you can knock the ball on and it's ok so long as you immediately kick it.
