after high school there is a time where you self reflect on the kinds of decisions you made, and friendships you developed. all i gotta say is that im so glad a lot of people arent in my life. they didnt deserve to know me the way they did.
in my 20’s I’ve learnt that when people know they’ve sabotaged chances to have a healthy connection with you and don’t possess the maturity or humility to repair it, you’ll be painted as the problem to others because they can’t admit their faults. and you have to let them do that
to the girlies having an existential crisis over their long term relationship ending. you will be okay. what you thought you wanted in a partner at 20 is not the same as what you want now. you’ve grown, hopefully matured & also gained self-awareness you did not have before.
Being able to call on and depend on a man is such a flex, IN MY OPINION! I mean yes I can absolutely handle things on my own but just knowing my life is a little easier because I'm supported and someone always has my back is top tier to me.
You deserve a calm love with someone who's your safe space, your best friend, and soothes your soul during stressful situations. Life is hard enough, you deserve someone who brings you peace, not problems.
Just heard someone say that museums are great for first dates because you get to ask what they think of an artwork, and that tells you more about them than “what are your hobbies, etc.” People reveal the most about themselves through reactions, not introspective descriptions.
You deserve a calm love with someone who’s good for your mental health and nervous system. Someone who's your safe space, your best friend, and brings peace to your soul during stressful times.
compliments on your appearance are cool‚ but when someone compliments you as a person, the way your mind works‚ the way you carry yourself‚ your laugh, how peaceful your energy feels, and how genuine your heart is – those are top tier compliments. they just hit different.
one thing about girls is we love a debrief. in comfies, sitting in a circle, and recounting every single little thing that happened, while also talking a little bit of shit
This may sound harsh, but as a woman you cannot surround yourself with a bunch of miserable women and thrive. I know everyone has their moments and goes through things but some are just internally miserable and will never be able to lift you or genuinely be happy for you.
what’s wrong with texting first and replying to a text immediately? what’s wrong with callin and tellin them u miss them? what’s wrong with showing you care? be real and put your pride aside & if they can’t match ur energy.. do yourself a favor and leave
never regret the love you have shown people. if you showed up in someone’s life with nothing but gentleness, kindness and compassion - it’s not on you if they couldnt return it. the fact you’re abundant enough to express love loudly and unapologetically is beautiful. don’t change
