I missed a math test in 10th grade due to a worsening chronic illness. I had a doctors note, parental confirmation & everything. Next time I was in class the teacher called me out asking where I had been. I replied “sick” and she asked “sick with what??” in front of everyone.

I agree with doing everything possible, supported by science, to stop the spread of COVID-19. I disagree with Doug Ford’s decisions not to provide paid sick days, shutter low-risk outdoor playgrounds & give police powers that cannot coexist with a healthy, equitable, democracy.
