one easy way to make a simulation of falling sand piling up-
just define what happens for all 16 possible 2x2 grids, and repeatedly apply these rules to the picture
Highlights from Levi Hammett and Hind Al Saad (@hindgalsaad) teacher lectures in 'Alternative Typographic Histories' this summer - surveying language developments notable within the history of computing.
FIGMA-OS: The first Turing-complete Figma file.
SPECS: 8-bit architecture, 512 bits of RAM, 16 bytes of Program Memory, MISC instruction set of 16 OPCODES, 10HZ clock speed, 4 fast access registers, binary-tree RAM/ROM memory.
MOTIVATIONS: For the meme.
HOW: Explained below.
Thank you, @_akhaliq for featuring our work! We built an array bot that manipulates objects using *RL* through *only touch* sensors!! It can put eggs into a cup and learn to generalize and relocate dragonfruits or transparent objects!
Tips: Unmute when you check out the video :p
i've released a demo of my CD-ROM memoir game!
Chao Bing: A Read-Only Memory Experience is an interactive memoir in the style of a 90s CD-ROM storybook game. It's about memory, time, and transformation–and sort of about scallion pancakes too.

@ChrisShehanArt@Trungles Yesss that one shot sequence was incredible! The chase covers half the span of an unknown city without making it feel like you’ve lost track of what’s going on.
What would a text editor look like without a keyboard?
A while back I tried designing some interactions around this concept—combining voice input, GPT-3, and various swipe and touch gestures centered around central metaphors of "thread" and "strands"

@abhijitnath_@GergelyOrosz Does it matter if you /know/ you’re not looking at the real thing? I would find it harder to buy into the suspension of disbelief with “photorealistic” virtual avatars (considering what’s currently possible) than video calls, which simply aim for a 2D projection of reality
@steveruizok That said, I can see the case for grouping these fixes out into a separate PR for the sake of keeping the initial PR more focused (to varying degrees of benefit/friction depending on how those fixes touch the original PR)
@steveruizok A daily struggle. Tbh in the context of a smaller (3-4 dev) team, I feel like the friction of creating separate PRs for every little fix would simply lead to fewer fixes (and ultimately a lower quality code base).
