Dr Anand Rischie, Associate Medical Director for Primary Care for #WalsallTogether talking about how pleased he is to see so many colleagues here and how he is looking forward to showcasing the excellent partnership working
Medicine is the only profession where when the canary in the coal mine dies, leaders just say:
Why can't we get more resilient canaries?

Walsall mosque turned into vaccine centre to increase BAME jab uptake - Well done & thank you #teamGp in Walsall @WalsallCCG @NHSEngland @PHE_uk https://t.co/yfnVJG1Jyh
@BBCBreakfast Schools are NOT all open for key workers at all. My poor HCA has 2 young children in different schools as one has special needs. She has received 2 x texts 10 mins apart last night to say school closed. Huge impact on #GPpractices.
GP outperforming expectations regarding vaccinations which is not a surprise to some of us , imagine if we had done test and trace .Isn’t it now time this government and certain media organisations stop their long term denigration of our profession 🙏
@NikkiKF Vaccine supplies to whom.... Each site that GPs have stood up to work 7 days a week are hardly working a day in the week whilst triple amount of vaccine arrives to the neighbouring pharmacist.. Was told this will not happen... PCNs have not yet done over 75s but.....
Enough is enough, looks like vaccine supply might not be an issue, except the choice of site... As apart from GPs everyone is having fair amount delivered @NikkiKF, someone will need to be Accountable to complex challenges thrown to primary care and then....
A total chaos & shambles - they way this Covid-19 vaccination programme is now under command & control . It appears GPs are going to be victim of their own success .Inequality at all levels from supply to distribution of vaccinations and access to patients @pulsetoday@NikkiKF
@dr_uzmaahmad@pulsetoday@NikkiKF And same locality PCN receives 400 dose of AZ as compared to neighbouring pharmacy 1200 doses. GPs moved heaven and earth to set this up @NikkiKF people from NHSE should be clear on expectations from primary care, shall we stand down our services and stop spending energy on this
Commenting on reports on mixing vaccines, Dr Mary Ramsay, Head of Immunisations at PHE, said: “We do not recommend mixing the COVID-19 vaccines – if your first dose is the Pfizer vaccine you should not be given the AstraZeneca vaccine for your second dose and vice versa.”
Walsall Modality GP surgeries are OPEN to their patients and working hard to keep patients and staff safe and well. Thank you to all the staff for their dedication @ModalityGP
@PHE_uk @rcgp the only way to protect workforce in health and social care setting is to have testing readily available for them and their family members quickly. @didoharding
'GPs have been delivering a predominantly remote service in order to comply with official guidance and help stop the spread of #COVID19. Any implication that they have not been doing their job properly is an insult to GPs and their teams' @MartinRCGP https://t.co/FVDeb5MSL3
#ThankYouTogether#NHSBirthday I’d like to thank all my NHS colleagues @WalsallCCG and health and care staff across the Black Country and West Birmingham for their extraordinary dedication, skill and compassion.
@narendramodi this is the time GOI should reimburse Healthcare costs borne by poor people due to COVID infection even in private set up.. Also every death or dying patient should be tested to confirm your true numbers - UK doctor working closely with COVID outbreak.
