@Hadley@oboelabs The larger point I was making was some primitives like memory are still brittle. It feels to me that we are treading the same path like autonomous driving where folks were in a rush to get to L4/L5.
"unmetered intelligence", "data center on a desktop", 🌊 is changing. Future is multimodal, mixed mode - local & ☁️. Question will be use case & sovereignty. Not predefined by the model provider, models are a leg in the stool. Watch this space!
Getting a bit tired of all the hot takes, mantras, and talking your own book on here lately.
The world isn’t that straightforward. It’s messy, and that’s kind of the beautiful part.
Trying to remind myself of that more often.
@OfficialLoganK@GoogleAIStudio Come on Logan. Please give us remote MCPs and easier verification so we don’t have to rely on insecure 3rd party providers. APIs for data extension.
Expect similar stuff with remote MCP's guard your harness against this before its too late. Posture any untrusted resource as such - much more upfront work but a lot less headache later. This is only going to increase!
❗️ Over 30 official Red Hat npm packages were compromised. How they got in:
- A Red Hat employee's GitHub account was compromised.
- Attackers pushed "orphan commits" (detached from branch history) straight in, bypassing code review with no pull request.
- Payload "Miasma" (Mini Shai-Hulud variant) steals GitHub/cloud/Vault/SSH/npm secrets. Rotate everything since June 1.
- The commits added a workflow (ci.yaml) + script (_index.js) that abused npm trusted publishing, requesting a real OIDC token to publish backdoored versions.
@fkpxls Not sure you remember we talked about this a while ago at a pace event when you were still at Coinbase. More to come, let me know if you wanna beta test.
Been working with @SamAsante on a new company.
Today we’re releasing our first product.
It’s called Typeahead and we’re live on Product Hunt.
You type and inline suggestions appear right in the text field. Tab to accept the full suggestion or right arrow for one word at a time. It learns how you actually write.
Everything runs locally on your Mac, works offline, and you pay once. $79 and you own it forever.
If you write a lot on a Mac, check it out and let us know what you think.

@bcherny "thinking or redacted_thinkingblocks in the latest assistant message cannot be modified. These blocks must remain as they were in the original response." Did you folks break something in Claude Code? Seeing this consistently over the last 24 hours
🇨🇳 AI Robot Barbers Are Now Cutting Hair in Chinese Cities!
AI-powered robot barber kiosks that automatically cut hair using 3D scanning technology.
The system scans a customer’s head, face shape, hair texture, and preferred style before a robotic arm performs the haircut with millimeter-level precision.
Several kiosks are already operating in urban areas across China, with haircuts costing as little as ¥60 ($1) per session!
Every AI tool just waits for you to type a prompt. For the last year we built the opposite: an assistant that already did the thing before you wake up.
Here's what that looks like in a real family. Mine. 👇
@sarthakgh Lot of us that leave lived here have seen this coming. City is $250M in debt begging the state and public schools are dire straits. And these buildings got tax abatements to fund a run for governor. I’m all for building more but should be self funded.
This composio security issue is mighty concerning, I don’t think people understand the gravity of it. Keys being rotated and the all connected accounts being deleted with less than 3 hours notice. Right in the middle of the long weekend when it occurred 2 days ago.
