All this talk about manager of the season? Think I deserve it ahead of both Pep and Klopp 😂
Unbelievable @OfficialFPL season
Top 500 global rank and 17th in India 🏆
Paris burns. Delhi holds. Here's why.
Yesterday 550,000 people marched across France. 110,000 in Paris. By nightfall .. tear gas at Republique, fires, shops looted bare, 195 detained in the capital alone.
It started as a school protest in late September. Within weeks France had arrested over 6,500 people, mostly minors. A student lost his hand to a police grenade. Then unions, Yellow Vests, farmers and taxi drivers piled in. A complaint about classrooms became a revolt against the state.
The government's answer .. A TV address and a promise of a plan by end October. That's what a broke state sounds like. Debt at 119% of GDP. Deficit at 5.4%. Borrowing costs above Italy and Greece. France can't buy peace, and it can't hold the line either. So it gets neither.
India faced its own test this year.
The Cockroach Janta Party began in May as an Instagram joke. Satire about lazy, unemployed youth. 15 million followers in a week. Fun, until it wasn't.
When students had a real problem with the NEET leak, the government dealt with it. The exam was held again. Education Minister resigned, Issue closed.
But the CJP didn't close. It needed a new enemy. So it picked the Election Commission.
By October, the youth movement was demanding the Chief Election Commissioner's head over a voter roll clean up. The EC's position is simple: the names removed were duplicates, dead voters and fraudulent entries. Every serious democracy cleans its rolls.
Read the CJP manifesto and the mask slips. Cancel broadcast licences of media houses it dislikes. Investigate journalists' bank accounts. Arrest the CEC under anti terror law.
That's not a student charter. That's a political wish list. And sure enough, the opposition climbed aboard. As the Defence Minister put it, young people are being used as pawns in someone else's power grab.
How the state responded. No tear gas at India Gate. No grenades. No burning streets.Designated protest sites. Barricades. Preventive detention for leaders who announced they'd defy the rules. Five days in jail for those who forced their way into a banned site. Then back to normal. Firm. Proportionate. Boring. Exactly what you want.
Compare the footage. Paris.. looting, fire, a teenager's hand gone. Delhi: protesters loaded onto buses.
The economics behind the calm.
Stability isn't luck. It's paid for.
When the Hormuz shock pushed crude past $110, India cut excise ₹10 a litre and kept pump prices almost flat. France let diesel run to €2.35. Our fiscal deficit is on a glide path to 4.3%. Central debt is falling toward 50% of GDP.
A state with money in the bank can fix a real grievance quickly. That leaves agitators with only manufactured ones. A state that's broke has to say no to everything, and every no becomes a riot.
So what were we saved from..
The French spiral. A government too broke to fix things and too weak to keep order, watching kids and unions burn its capital.
India fixed what was broken, held firm on what was political, and kept the lights on. Paris should take notes.
Watching Elon Musk this week has been a fascinating character study in the saviour complex of Western tech billionaires.
They arrive in your country selling you the future. Welcome them, and you’re a country that wants progress. Make them wait, and suddenly your people are victims who need rescuing from their own institutions by the chosen one.
It’s a pattern. When Thai rescuers didn’t use the mini-submarine Musk sent for the trapped boys, and diver Vernon Unsworth called the idea impractical, Musk attacked him as the “pedo guy.”
When Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered X to comply with its rulings, Musk called the judge a “dictator.”
The script rarely changes. Only the country does.
The colonial mindset isn’t always about wanting to rule a country. Sometimes it’s the assumption that you arrive as its saviour, and if the country doesn’t immediately recognise you as one, something must be wrong with the country.
@chiraggoyal28 If you add our employees, warehouse workers, and all their families, Eternal directly supports the livelihoods of well over 1% Indians 💁♂️.. getting this to 5% by 2030 would be damn cool.
India's women athletes are telling us such wonderful, inspiring stories at these Asian Games. With every medal they strike, they plant a dream in another family about what young women can achieve. Overjoyed
We dreamed it. We believed it. We fought for it. And today, we lived it. 🥇
Asian Games Gold — and a place at LA 2028. 🏑✨
To wear the Indian jersey is an honour.
To win Gold for India is a feeling words can never fully describe.
This is for every Indian who believed in us .
🚨 Mauricio Pochettino on Man City charges: “No type of punishment will make it possible to repair what was done”.
“If they are guilty, Premier League's controls are severely damaged”.
Fastest to 1⃣5⃣0⃣0⃣0⃣ ODI runs ✅
Congratulations to Virat Kohli on becoming the second player to achieve the feat after Sachin Tendulkar 👏👏

Once you watch Claude or some other LLM do a task that used to take you 3 hours in the span of just 3 minutes, all work starts to lose its purpose
Have been hearing the same sentiment from many of my friends in middle management across tech, finance and other office jobs
All the years of experience you culminated at your field suddenly seems useless
You used to feel valued for your expertise in a niche domain, but that knowledge has now become commoditized
You begin to wonder how many more months until upper management and executives realize that they don’t need to pay your salary anymore
Maybe they can replace you fully. Maybe they can hire someone for 50% of the cost to do the same task with an AI
It is the impending sense of doom and despair. The loss of purpose from your life’s work disappearing losing value in front of your eyes
Truly an incredible time to be alive
India’s 7.8% growth deserves celebration by all Indians, especially because it comes despite strong external headwinds. To the best of my knowledge, no genuine democracy has sustained such rapid growth for more than three decades or lifted so many people out of poverty so quickly.
We should debate economic policy vigorously. But amid our daily quarrels, we should not lose sight of this extraordinary national achievement.--https://t.co/5XN10MAKFH
Witnessing that game was a privilege, man. Messi running it back, Tuchel trying to turn into Max Allegri, the brawls, the late goal, Scaloni's subs.
Up there with one of the best games I've watched.
Messi hanging with Mbappé and Haaland in 2026 is sort of like
Maradona competing with R9 and Zidane in 1998
R9 competing with Messi and James in 2014
Ronaldinho competing with Modric and Kane in 2018
In fact all were younger then than Messi now 😂
Loads of strikers would have laid that out a pass to the right winger there. The very best take responsibility themselves because they know they can produce world class actions. HARRY KANE.
