@_mbrayer I think what you're actually describing is the economics of monopoly pricing versus pricing in a competitive setting. Only in monopoly type markets (and you can argue a lot of times that SAAS is going to be 'monopoly like') can you charge based on the demand curve of customers...

@QuancyClayborne A notable farce is the so called ‘economic’ argument against immigration - that they ‘take’ jobs. In fact, economic activity brought by migrants creates jobs. So there are more jobs overall, and the economic impact is moot, just a lower proportion of these go to current citizens
