Note: Elizabeth was filled with the HolySpirit there

@TheDustyChuck @Burgess7281975 If you understand Luke 11:27-28 literally, the you are accusing the Lord of breaking the 5th Commandment “Honor your father and mother, …” and you are also accusing the Lord when He said to the holy mother “O Woman, what have you to do with me?” in John 2:4

Sir I don’t think you can understand certain parts of the Bible without the sacred traditions. When Christ says “…unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you don’t have life in you…” in John 6:53 onwards, how do you know what He is asking us to do?

For perspective, I am age 68. Back in the 60’s & 70’s, there were literally no Bibles either for Mass or catechism class.

For Mass, there were “missilettes”. Changed each month as I recall. For catechism we had “catechism books”. I cannot speak beyond then.

Even if Bibles are more in use today, it would not be relevant. Why? Because the CC claims without evidence that tradition is equal to Scripture.

When in doubt over the centuries, it fell back on tradition & not the Bible.

This has led to much error in teaching & doctrine. The Bible is all sufficient. It is the one & only inerrant Word of God.

@marsh1956 Sir, We can go back and forth on this, but kindly consider the context of each teaching of Lord.
If you combine “John 6:53” with “Matthew 26:17-29 or Mark 14:12-25 or Luke 22:7-38” you will understand that Jesus is literally in the Eucharist.
