KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: PURPOSE AND STEWARDSHIP
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV): “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.”
Deep within the heart of almost every person is a desire to grow, progress, and excel. These are commendable aspirations and they are entirely godly. Because you carry the seed of God within you, your spirit naturally inclines toward expansion, abundance, and success.
However, as you pursue financial growth, the ultimate question you must ask yourself is this: What is the purpose behind the wealth I desire?
The importance of answering this question cannot be overstated. In the Kingdom, whatever you do not have a divine purpose for, you will eventually lose.
Consider a person who successfully climbs the corporate ladder, builds a thriving business, accumulates vast financial resources and wealth. If they have no kingdom purpose for that prosperity, they will ultimately watch what they gained slip through their fingers. Without a clearly defined assignment, wealth easily dissipates through mismanagement, pride, or worldly distractions.
Purpose is an anchor. It stabilizes your finances, protects your resources from being wasted, and aligns your wealth with the heart of God.
Do not just pray for wealth; pray for the wisdom to discover its purpose. When your heart aligns with God's agenda, you will no longer have to chase it. Instead, resources will actively pursue you because heaven knows you have the capacity, the discipline, and the heart to steward them.
FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 1:32; 2 Corinthians 9:8
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for Your Word. Today, I submit my financial desires to Your divine agenda. I see my resources through the lens of stewardship, recognizing that You are the owner and I am the manager. You ground my heart in Your purpose, and make me a trustworthy conduit for Kingdom wealth. In You, my financial increase is secured. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: THE REWARD OF DILIGENCE
Proverbs 22:29 (KJV): “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
Diligence has several rewards revealed in the Scriptures. One of these rewards is access.
Our theme scripture teaches that a diligent man will stand before kings and not before mean men.
The word translated as “mean” in the Hebrew carries the sense of being obscure, insignificant, low, or without influence. This means that diligence lifts a man out of obscurity and brings him before people of authority, influence, power, and consequence.
It has often been said that you are the sum total of the five people you spend the most time with. While this may not be absolute in every situation, it carries an important wisdom: your associations often reveal the level of your discipline, excellence, and diligence.
If you constantly find yourself surrounded by people who are unclear in vision, careless in speech, lazy in responsibility, and casual about purpose, you must examine your own diligence. Your circle can be a reflection of your level of seriousness.
A man who is diligent will eventually outgrow certain conversations, certain circles, and certain limitations. His commitment to excellence will separate him from mediocrity and bring him before people who can recognise, reward, and multiply what he carries. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 10:4; Proverbs 12:24
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this wisdom. I am diligent because I am taught by You. I am delivered from laziness, mediocrity and excuses that stand in the way of my success. I honour time, pursue excellence, grow in skill, and remain faithful in both small and great responsibilities. My work communicates order and distinction. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DISCERNMENT
1 John 4:1 (NKJV): “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Discernment of spirits is a fundamental aspect of the walk of every believer.
In the Garden of Eden, Eve did not discern that the spirit speaking to her had destruction in mind. The serpent did not appear as an obvious enemy; he came with words that sounded attractive, yet carried death. Humanity fell and lost its place with God because of a lack of discernment (Genesis 3). This means that discernment can be the difference between life and death. It can be the difference between progress and setbacks. It can change the course of a person’s destiny forever.
There are people whose relationships, ministries, businesses, and careers have been destroyed because they lacked discernment. They listened to voices they should not have believed. They entered doors they should never have walked through.
Our theme scripture cautions us not to believe every spirit. Not everyone who advises you to enter a business deal must be believed. Not everyone who seeks you out as a friend should be welcomed. Not every opportunity is from God, and not every open door is for you to walk through.
To believe everything is not faith. It creates a breeding ground for deception and gives the enemy room to influence the direction of your life.
When it comes to your career, exercise discernment. When it comes to your marriage, discern. When it comes to ministry and your calling, discern. When it comes to relationships, partnerships, counsel, and opportunities, discern. When you learn to discern, you will walk in wisdom, avoid unnecessary losses, and live a life of success every day. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 14:15; Hebrews 5:14
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the gift and grace of discernment. By it, I walk the course You have ordained for my life. I know how to test spirits, recognise Your voice, and never go where I am not supposed to go. I am sensitive to Your leading and preserved from deception. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

THE REALITY OF OUR IDENTITY II
James 1:22-25 (NKJV): “But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
The Word of God is a mirror. Through it, the believer is able to see and understand who he truly is. In our theme scripture, James speaks of being a doer of the Word. The Greek word translated as “doer” is poiētēs, from which the English word “poet” is derived. This means that our doing is not limited to outward action alone. We have been called to be poets of the Word.
Who is a poet?
A poet is one who gives meaning to words. The Greek rendering also carries the sense of a maker, an author, or a producer. This means that a poet of the Word is not merely one who knows Scripture, but one who understands how to use the Word skillfully to produce divine results. This begins with speaking.
If you read the Word but never learn to confess it and meditate on it, you are like a man who looks at himself in a mirror and then immediately forgets what he looks like. Everything about such a man is unclear and obscure.
The Word shows you your identity, but meditation and confession establish that identity in your consciousness. Read the Word and speak it. Read it and confess it. Do not leave it only in your mind. Mutter it. Hum it. Say it again and again until your spirit is fully aligned with its reality.
Declare, “I am the head and not the tail. I am above and not beneath. I am shining with the glory of God. I am increasing. I am multiplying. I am crowned with glory. I am blessed in what I do.” As you speak the Word, you shape your understanding of identity. Your perception of yourself begins to change, and even the perception of those around you cannot help but respond to the reality you have embraced. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Joshua 1:8; Philemon 1:6
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your Word, the mirror of my true identity. I behold myself through Scripture and not through the opinions of men. I receive the grace to meditate on Your Word day and night and to confess it boldly over my life. My heart, speech, and consciousness align with who You say I am. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
OUR UNION WITH GOD: THE PLACE OF LIBERTY
1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV): “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
As a born-again believer, you are one with the Lord. In Him, you live, move, and have your being (Acts 17:28).
The Bible also says in 2 Corinthians 3:17 that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. If you are one with Him, and where His Spirit is there is liberty, then our union with Him is a critical pillar of our freedom as children of God.
If this oneness is not understood, a believer cannot effectively walk in the freedom that Christ purchased, or in the graces that have been made available for us to walk and function in.
This is why sound doctrine always points us to our union with God. Any teaching that separates you from your oneness with Him exposes you to bondage.
A believer who does not understand that God is in him, and that he is one with God, may easily believe that sickness, oppression, or demonic affliction can have rightful dominion over him. But a believer who has settled in his spirit that he and the Lord are one will think differently. He will understand that because of this union sickness has no rightful place in him. The life of God in him is greater than the power of disease.
Because of this oneness, a believer can boldly declare that with God, all things are possible. Possibilities do not look at such a believer as one who is alone; they see him as one with God.
When you understand your union with God, you stop approaching life as a mere man. You stop praying, believing, and confronting circumstances as though God is far from you. You become conscious that the Greater One lives in you, walks in you, speaks through you, and manifests His life through you. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: John 17:21-23; Acts 17:28
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this word. I believe and I am conscious of my oneness with You. I refuse to believe any reality that separates me from this truth. Where Your Spirit is, there is liberty. It means that where I am, freedom manifests. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: A WEALTH TRANSFER PRINCIPLE
Ecclesiastes 2:26 (NKJV): “For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God.”
One of the most fundamental truths in the economy of God is that the wealth of the unjust is laid up for the righteous. This is why you should never admire a sinner simply because he has money. There are men who labour, gather, collect, build, and accumulate, yet the divine intent is that what they gather will eventually be transferred to those who are good before God.
However, this transfer is not without principles. One of these principles is remembering the poor. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:17, “He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given.”
When you help the poor, you are not merely giving to a man. You are lending to God. And God does not borrow without repaying. He pays back, and He pays with divine interest.
Proverbs 28:27 says, “He who gives to the poor will not lack, but he who hides his eyes will have many curses.”
The giver to the poor is protected from lack. This is a spiritual law. When your heart is open to the needy, the hand of God remains open toward you.
There are wicked men with money, but no grace to use it for divine purpose. There are men who desire to waste wealth on immoral pursuits, selfish pleasures, and vanity. But God can remove resources from such a man and place them in the hands of a believer whose heart is genuinely invested in His purposes. Remember the poor because that is where God’s heart is.
FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 13:22; Psalms 41:1-3
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this wisdom. I know that the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous, and I position my heart according to Your principles. You give me genuine compassion for the poor, the needy, the hungry, the widow, the orphan, and the afflicted. You teach me to use wealth for divine purpose. I declare that resources are coming into my hands for the gospel and for the advancement of Your kingdom. I receive the grace to be a faithful steward of wealth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. (Psalms 16:5-6 NKJV)

MARRIAGE SERIES: DEALING WITH WEAKNESS IN A SPOUSE
2 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV): “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
God reveals to you the strength of your spouse to the degree that you are able to withstand their weakness.
Some spouses never truly come to know the strengths in their partners because they are too fixated on their weaknesses. They define them by what they struggle with, instead of discerning what God has placed within them.
By our theme scripture, God prompts us to look beyond weakness and understand that, many times, the very place of weakness is also the place where strength lies. This is because we are often tried in the areas where God has placed some of our greatest strengths.
For example, a spouse who has faced repeated financial struggles may not be weak with money in the way you assume. It may be that the enemy is fighting them in the very area where God has ordained them to build great wealth. A spouse who has struggled with anger may carry a strong sense of justice, passion, and conviction. When refined by love, patience, and the wisdom of God, that passion can become righteous zeal and strength for the family.
This means that if your spouse is struggling in a specific area, you must learn to change your perspective. Understand that the very place of trial may also be the place where great strength is hidden. If they are helped to rise above that struggle, they may accomplish great things in your family and beyond it.
For this reason, it is important to impute righteousness on your spouse. Learn to speak the things that are not as though they are. Speak strength where you have seen weakness. Speak greatness where you have seen struggle. By doing this, you call out what God has placed in their spirit, fortify them in what they are becoming, and help them overcome. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Romans 4:17; Proverbs 18:21
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the gift of my spouse. I see them through Your eyes and Your truth. I have the grace to discern the strengths hidden beneath their struggles and the wisdom to speak life over them. You help me to cover them in love, and to participate in who they must become. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
