So Saudi is following Shariah law by sentencing 24-year-old migrant worker Anojan Sivarasa to death for blasphemy against Islam and Prophet Muhammad over a Facebook comment.

Okay, let's agree it's Shariah law.

But didn't Shariah also forbid the sale of alcohol? Unlike killing for blasphemy, which has no explicit command in the Quran, alcohol is clearly forbidden in the Quran.

But guess what?

January 2024: Saudi Arabia opened an alcohol shop for non-Muslim diplomats.

Late 2025: Access was expanded to eligible wealthy, non-Muslim foreign residents.

Isn't that a clear violation of Shariah?

That's why we call it political Shariah. They bend Shariah laws to suit their interests.

Alcohol is forbidden in the Quran, yet exceptions can be made when money is involved. But when someone insults the Prophet, suddenly there is no room for mercy.
