I expanded https://t.co/z1iZbMo5ft recently with some guides for Cloudflare's developer platform based on my decade+ experience with these products. Answering questions like:
Is D1 ready for production use?
Should you choose @Cloudflare Pages or Workers?
https://t.co/E8umbENgwB
I’ve spent more than a decade running production infrastructure on Cloudflare. So I rated almost 50 @Cloudflare products out of 10, asking: would I recommend building on this today?
Some are exceptional. Some have burned me. A few are both.

Support was also offered mostly by these same folks, so that will be much more limited now too.
The community has spun up their own Discord which is much more actively moderated. See the announcement on Reddit for details.

Very sad to see how the communities that I and many others cared deeply about are now in a state of deterioration, with no clear plan in sight. This all happened shortly after they laid off many of their amazing community managers, one of whom spent nearly 10 years building this.
Be very careful clicking on any links, etc. in the official Cloudflare Discord server right now. Crypto scams and more remain unmoderated for days sometimes.
Cloudflare disbanded their Community Champs program - folks who moderated the server and provided early feedback.
@APrivitelli@rauchg Looks like your issue is that your domain's DNSSEC is misconfigured. See https://t.co/S93cymi8N3
It's causing your domain's nameservers (Vercel, in this case) to not get fully propagated globally, as also seen at https://t.co/WNUGaYE1BF
@eastdakota@Cloudflare Given this tweet about Hashicorp a couple of years ago, I'm going to guess something related to infra or secrets/vaults.

@1gn0r4nd@levelsio@Cloudflare Full by default would be better, because flexible gives a false sense of security, as the communication between Cloudflare and web server will be in plain text and not encrypted.
@boristane Haha been there. At highschool, my small laptop's HDD broke, and I couldn't get it repaired, so I started to just run Ubuntu on a USB for the remaining years.
Started to really get into programming and devops stuff during that
>we get an inordinate amount of customer-impacting incidents due to Cloudflare
I doubt Cloudflare is at fault for all of those. I remember when you guys disabled traffic/gzip compression if a Vercel customer used Cloudflare.
No customer was made aware of this while it was happening.
When I was affected by this, Vercel's sales team was more than happy to quote me a monthly multi-thousand enterprise contract for going over Vercel's bandwidth limits, which was only caused because Vercel deliberately disabled traffic compression when using Cloudflare.
At the time I was not aware of compression being disabled, which was the main cause of my bandwidth numbers being wildly inaccurate. Luckily we did not sign the contract and instead moved our project to Cloudflare Pages, otherwise we would have been stuck with an expensive enterprise contract that was based on lies.
There was also another issue a long time ago where Vercel would randomly drop requests coming through Cloudflare, causing sporadic downtime for several customers. This issue lasted many months and took a lot of messages back and forth before it finally got fixed.
@leeerob@RhysSullivan Is there a reason Vercel can't add an additional checkbox or toggle to the 'Spend management' setting that does this automatically?
@klzns@vercel You probably had Vercel's Ship page open, which had a bug that caused an infinite request loop once it was time for day 3, causing you to get blocked by their firewall.

@vercel Seems like the Vercel Ship page got stuck in a request loop right when it was time for day 3 to be announced. Got blocked by the website's firewall, and now I can't access my projects anymore heh...

@vercel_status Live traffic was apparently also having a blip about an hour ago - our website went down, and also saw several complaints on Twitter at the same time about the same issue
@vercel_support@vercel@Cloudflare Already opened a case earlier, in which I also linked multiple statements of your CEO that say that this issue would be getting worked on.
Cloudflare's CEO & CTO both made it clear that they're open to communication and are willing to help solve this, but so far nothing happened.
@dApp_boi@seanbonner @withFND @vercel That outage is most likely caused by Vercel blocking Cloudflare, as the same issue just also happened at my work a moment ago. Unfortunately it's quite common at Vercel

@rauchg@eastdakota @austinkhale @matheusfrndes@shravvmehtaa@benjaminpearson@eff__mitch@vercel Is there any ETA for a fix that will stop this issue for good? I just woke up right now to a outage at my work because Vercel decided to block Cloudflare's traffic once again.
For almost a year now I've been hearing from Vercel that this issue is being worked on.
