Friday reflection, on AI + design...

Anyone can prompt an interface now, and you can feel it. Everything is starting to look the same.

We've been here before. When machines arrived, anyone could make things faster, cheaper, more of them. The question stopped being can you produce. It became what do you produce, how and why...

The companies that mattered didn't just use the machines. They shaped them. They built their own tools, cared about the parts no one else was looking at, and went past what came out of the box...

Maybe it's time to treat AI the same way... Not a thing you take at face value, but a tool that builds your tools.

Because the difference isn't what it makes. It's what you make it capable of making...
