Matt Chandler pastors the Village Church just 15 minutes from where I live in North Dallas.
If your church pulls a stunt like this, find a new church immediately.
One of the hard things about learning to understand the Bible well is to unlearn a number of bad habits you unknowingly obtained in life.
1. Reading verses out of context. People don’t typically do this on purpose. It’s just a common bad habit.
2. Looking for a quick moment of inspiration more than a proper understanding. This kills your ability to even tolerate Scripture when it isn’t giving you what you want.
3. Trying to apply the Bible before you’ve actually understood it. “What does it mean to you?” is a terrible question.
4. Assuming you know what you don’t. These casual assumptions kill investigation. Why investigate what you already know?
Matt Chandler's The Village Church is going 'virtual' for the next three weeks on account of remodeling their sanctuary.
Should a church still try to gather together at another location, like at a park or someone's house or even in another church building, or is this an acceptable reason to not gather for a time?
The biggest issue baseball fans want solved to strengthen the game is fixing the payroll disparity that leaves too many fans without hope of their team competing for a World Series title. Every other major U.S. sport has tackled this problem, and every year more small market teams in those leagues have a chance to win. The salary cap and floor proposal levels the playing field, allowing us greater flexibility to address longstanding player priorities while sharing baseball revenue with the players 50/50.
Today, in addition to proposing the largest ever increase in the minimum salary, earned by over half of MLB players, we accepted two landmark changes to free agency that have been in place for 50 years. We agreed to both the MLBPA’s proposal to provide earlier access to free agency, and their proposal to eliminate the qualifying offer system, a provision players view as a drag on free agency. We also proposed to eliminate deferred compensation and to create a new “Cornerstone Player” provision similar to the NBA’s “Bird Rights” to give every team a fair shot at retaining their fans’ favorite star players.
We will continue working with the MLBPA during the bargaining process to improve the game for teams, players and fans.
I posted earlier about the interview of JD Hall on Tucker Carlson.
I want to apologize for not looking further into the details. Here’s what happened.
I deleted that post because I mistakenly thought he repeated a specific lie (which he had put in print before as an article) that Ron Cantor wouldn’t call out Michael Brown because Ron shows favoritism and is lacking character. This was a wild lie because Ron was the chief guy calling out Brown and Ron actually lost his job because of it. He lost his job and kept going with exposing Brown.
I chimed in because I was personally connected to the situation since I did a video with Ron where we go through all the testimony and evidence that sadly showed Brown to be using lies and manipulation (including lying to me) and harming the reputations of others rather than facing the truth of what he did years ago. JD’s article was honestly one of the worst pieces of faulty reporting I’ve ever seen. He spread lies about the chief whistleblower, the guy who helped make sure that everything came to light and real accountability happened. The guy that exposed his own friend and stood with a victim against a community of leaders who made him pay the price.
My mistake was thinking the content of that article was what JD repeated in the Tucker interview. My mistake was NOT wrongly accusing JD of spreading false claims about Ron, but in being wrong about which false claims he was spreading. It seems that in the Tucker interview there were completely DIFFERENT lies than the ones I was referring to in my previous post. Still lies about Ron Cantor but not the ones I was thinking of.
So, I’m sorry for not double checking what JD said. That was a genuine error on my part. I’ll absolutely take it to heart and do better in the future. I won’t offer any excuse but just note that I normally do better diligence (as I have shown in the past) and I should have double checked what I was hearing about the interview or just kept silent. I’ll take that as an important reminder and I’m sorry to JD for getting that wrong.
It’s a bit awkward here because it’s like I accused a guy of stealing a car only to find out he actually stole a helicopter. I apologize but the context is important.
Stay tuned to @RonSCantor for the coming security footage of JD’s helicopter theft.
Why do you care so much?
You don’t go there. You mock them and anyone who goes there.
Seems super weird for you to care about a group you so loudly criticize.
You’re an odd human.
Jazz Chisholm is an attention-seeking idiot. His stupidity never ceases to amaze me.
Not only is this terribly dangerous for himself, he is setting an atrocious example for young kids watching.
$122273 raised this year because we sell Jello. You can love us, you can hate us, but you can't deny this thing is a force of good. If you've been here, in person, you know that we love the party. Thank you for all the support and congratulations to @OU_Baseball and their fans!
She’s one of the most judgmental people I’ve ever met. While I agree with you, you’re wasting your time with her.
Her and her minions are awful. THEY are what’s wrong with the church. Not community bible studies.
@MichelleDLesley Your inclusion of Jen Wilken in your false teachers list is irresponsible. Your broad stroke dilutes any good arguments you have. Please be a bit more responsible with such false charges, so your charge for true false teachers can hold weight.

It was years ago that I exposed The Passion Translation as literally “translating” from manuscripts that don’t exist. They didn’t even exist!
Yet Bethel still endorsed and sold TPT, Broadstreet Publishing still published it, and countless charismatic leaders still endorsed it.
