My good buddy Jay Seiden (not on twitter), from Cushman & Wakefield, just shared his latest notes on the SF Commercial Real Estate Market.
Good stuff as always. See below.
TLDR, it might take years before it recovers...
Tenderloin businesses that are struggling to survive in the middle of open drug markets sent a scathing letter to @DeanPreston:
"We asked you for alternative strategies and you provided none...You seem only to be interested in action that promotes your own personal ideology."
Thank you @LondonBreed@BrookeJenkinsSF for fighting for San Francisco.
It's time to shut down the open air drug markets and bring recovery to the streets of SF.
Breaking:
Supervisors voted 9 to 2 to approve the cannabis store in Sunset despite overwhelming opposition from Chinese American speakers during public comment.
Joel Engardio and Catherine Stefani voted no.
BRING ALGEBRA BACK!!!!
Kids down the peninsula can take Algebra I in 8th grade, but in SF, it's banned.
This is deeply unfair to public school kids who want to be scientists, tech workers, and engineers.
SIGN THE PETITION and bring Algebra back!

San Francisco schools banned kids from taking algebra in 8th grade in an attempt to cover up how badly they were educating kids. The ban predictably made kids worse at math, which the district promptly lied about and covered up.

(Re)reading After the Music Stopped by @Blinder_Alan this weekend for all the obvious reasons… prob the best book I’ve read on the GFC. I know boom/bust and debt cycles are as old as money, but… 🤦
