TVK dominating DMK in the Assembly is honestly a sight to watch.

For years, DMK had the luxury of being the ones asking the tough questions, cornering the government and putting everyone else on the defensive. Now the tables have turned.

What stands out is that TVK isn’t behaving like a new entrant trying to prove it belongs. There’s no hesitation, no unnecessary deference, no fear of taking the fight straight to DMK.

And that seems to be what’s rattling them the most.

The same party that has spent decades setting the political tone is now being forced to answer, defend and explain itself.

Watching an old political party suddenly realise that there’s a new player in the room and this one isn’t intimidated.

And yes, watching that happen is incredibly satisfying.

I am thoroughly impressed by CM Vijay’s gesture of taking three days time to respond to opposition queries. This may seem like a cop out, but it isn’t.

But governance isn’t a game of speed.

Govt policies affect millions, over generations. Rushing to conclusions or prioritizing clever soundbites over substance can lead to poor decisions with lasting damage.
