It's a violent attack... but we are fully supported in working towards a future where academic decisions inform academic scholarship. So proud of the those editors who walked and those authors who stand in solidarity. For those who need their papers published, keep going!!!
I for one congratulate our Prime Minister @AlboMP for presenting the Uluṟu Statement and invitation to the Australian people.A simple request for recognition and to be heard on issues of concern.
Many PMs before have dodged the issue.
Thankyou for the opportunity to vote YES.
The case for the Voice? Keating’s ‘92 Redfern address said it all. We did the dispossessing. We took the lands. We smashed the traditional way of life, brought the diseases, committed the murders, took the children. All that, & all they ask is guaranteed access to parliament & govt
I’m loving the huge support for ‘Yes’ around the country. We only grow from here.
A majority of Australians voters & a majority of states will make history in ‘23:
The first time our Indigenous heritage is recognised in the constitution as foundational to who we are.

Earlier today, the Referendum Bill passed Parliament.
Listen to Rachel Perkins, as she discusses this once-in-a-generation opportunity to walk alongside First Nations people towards a better future.
Pledge to vote 'Yes' at https://t.co/eZuLcrjHGi now!

If politicians choose to debate allegations of sexual assault in parliament, respect and sensitivity is required, for everyone watching, listening, and present.
Heckling across the chamber does not show that respect.

How many of my fellow Australian citizens are beginning to be enraged at the amount of time, public money, airtime and column space being spent on the weaponisation of the Lehrmann/Higgins saga while homeless numbers rise, public schools are impoverished, Covid rages, etc etc?
@telstra announced they will be increasing prices “in line with CPI”
Does Telstra understand how the CPI (Consumer Price Index) works? Increasing customer prices is what causes CPI to rise in the first place
A potentially very twisty price-price spiral!

If you earn $60,000 and have an average-sized HECS debt, this year you will pay back $1,500 of your HECS… but your debt will increase by $1,700.
That’s not fair, and it’s why I’ve joined other independents in urging the Federal Government to consider other options.
@sallymcmanus#ProudToBePublic 🙏 Warren Central School - great teachers, great foundation plus the pride in and fun with students taught at Bathurst,Kelso and Kandos high schools. Funding justice for pub schools essential for opportunity, equality & a skilled nation.
So pleased our paper on gender and farm succession is out. We found women's changing roles on farms are (slowly) filtering through to farm succession discussions. Great team to work with - @LucieCN, Andrew Lawson, @SkyeSaunders13, Susan Field.
