From tomorrow, every school in South Sudan (population 11 million) is closing indefinitely because record heat will push temperatures over 45C (113F) across large parts of the country. There is of course no AC. The climate crisis is such a terrible injustice for the global south
Palestinians in Gaza are starving and eating grass.
This was exactly what happened during the Irish famine, which was actually inflicted on Ireland by the British.
That’s why people eat food dyed green on St Patrick’s Day. People think it’s a happy thing. It’s not as historian Christine Kinealy has noted.

Do desi designers even remember the purpose of lawn anymore?? We want light, thanday kapray in summer. Not these overly embroidered, organza dupatta with border, 15 different pieces to attach, jigsaw puzzle monstrosities that we're being sold now. End the madness 😭

“Hamza was not a part of me, he was all of me. He was the soul of my soul.”
There are no words left to describe the cruelty and evil of Israel’s crimes anymore. First they murdered the wife, 2 kids, and grandchild of Wael El-Dahdouh while he was reporting on air. Then he himself was struck but survived a month later. And today they murder his son Hamza who has also been reporting on their crimes. More journalists have been killed by Israel than in any other conflict zone. And even their families are not spared. It is sickening. I swear if it was only the crimes they’ve committed against this single man, it would be enough to damn an entire nation.
May Allah unite you and your family in the eternal gardens of paradise dear brother @WaelDahdouh

The unique aspect of this demonstrations, which should be called an uprising, is significant participation of women who actually lead the march.
