An Instagram user (@usha_veerasenan021) has publicly alleged that Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia disclosed the personal and educational credentials of PhD research scholar Barathi Dasan to a third party with no connection to the scholar.

We have not independently verified this claim. However, if true, it would be a grave breach of privacy and would raise serious questions under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (as amended in 2024), including:

• The Disclosure Principle (s.8): personal data must not be disclosed without the data subject's consent, or for purposes beyond those originally notified.
• The Security Principle (s.9): the duty to take practical steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access or disclosure.
• The data breach notification obligations introduced by the 2024 amendments, including notifying the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and the affected individual.

We request UKM to state publicly and in writing:

1. Whether any personal or academic information of the scholar was disclosed to the said individual.
2. If so, by whom, on what legal basis, and whether the scholar's consent was obtained.
3. Whether an internal investigation has been opened.
4. Whether the scholar and the PDP Commissioner have been notified.
5. What corrective and preventive measures will be taken.

We expect a response within 7 days. Should there be no satisfactory reply, this matter will be escalated to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and the Ministry of Higher Education.

Students and researchers entrust their data to universities. That trust must be protected.

இங்கேதான் Form 10C முக்கியம். 7.98 கோடி பேர் EPF-ல் பணம் கட்டினாலும் வெறும் 82 லட்சம் பேர்தான் pension வாங்குகிறார்கள். இந்த இடைவெளிக்கு காரணம் முறையான விழிப்புணர்வு இல்லாததுதான். நீங்கள் வேலையை மாற்றும்போது அல்லது 58 வயதுக்கு முன் PF பணத்தை எடுக்கும்போது இந்த Scheme Certificate வாங்கி வைக்காவிட்டால் உங்கள் பழைய சர்வீஸ் கணக்க���ல் வராது.

இப்போது wage ceiling வரம்பை 15,000 ரூபாயாக உயர்த்தியிருக்கிறார்கள். இது சாதாரண விஷயம் கிடையாது. 2014-ல் 10,000 ரூபாயாக இருந்ததை 12 வருஷம் கழித்து இப்போதுதான் மாற்றியிருக்கிறார்கள். உங்கள் சம்பளத்தில் 8.33% மற்றும் அரசின் 1.16% பங்களிப்பு சேரும்போது இந்த உயர்வு உங்கள் ஓய்வுகால நிதியை கணிசமாக அதிகரிக்கும்.

ஒன்றும் செய்யாமல் சோம்பேறித்தனமாக Form 10C சமர்ப்பிக்கத் தவறினால் உழைத்த வருடங்களுக்கான பலன் கிடைக்காமல் போகும். 58 வயதில் பென்ஷன் வாங்கலாம் அல்லது 60 வயது வரை தள்ளிப்போட்டு இன்னும் கூடுதல் தொகையைப் பெறலாம். ஆனால் அதற்கு அடிப்படை இந்த சர்டிபிகேட் தான். உங்கள் குடும்பத்திற்கான பாதுகாப்பையும் இதுதான் உறுதி செய்கிறது. அடுத்த முறை வேலையை விடும்போது பணத்தை மட்டும் பார்க்காமல் இந்த பேப்பரையும் கேட்டு வாங்குங்க. 🏦
