I wasn’t happy with the situation I met when I visited the late actor, Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, at the hospital for the last time.
We both wept when I was about to leave.
Late Ogogo was like a brother to me, and we were very close. We were from the same village. When he called me and told me he was sick, I went to Lagos to visit him at the hospital. But the third time I visited him, we both wept as I was departing because his health had deteriorated badly.
He later called me and told me he was travelling to India for treatment, but he still wanted his father’s compound to be renovated.
That was how he transferred ₦25 million into my account.
The moment he transferred the money, I called my children and informed them that, in case anything happened to me, the money in my account was not mine it belonged to Ogogo.
He never told me to use the money to build a mosque.
What he told me was that he wanted to renovate his father’s house.
The moment I heard that he had passed away, I called his wives, elder brother, children, and other family members and informed them that their father’s money was with me.
They all agreed that the money should be transferred to Ogogo’s elder brother’s account, and that was exactly what I did immediately.
Ogogo was such a pleasant and kind person.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

And people underrate themselves gaan. No federal Uni charges up to 250k per session. Four years course is 1 million naira. It’s 1 million naira you think you cannot pay back ?? And if you keep telling yourself no job, you would never find job.

Truly, everybody dey collect pass poor people for Nigeria.
Influencers dey collect, TV stations dey collect, Celebrities dey collect, Content creators dey collect
Na when poor people collect, that’s when you all suddenly find morality.
Selective outrage is the real currency.
This man scattered the Peter OBI messianic table of 2023 called him “ over blotted “ .
This Sowere’s spokesperson is intelligent and eloquent though I disagree with him ! 🔥🔥
In my opinion is better than Sowere himself!
I have followed the debate on managing forfeited assets closely. I am not a commentator on this — I am a practitioner. As Secretary of the EFCC, I managed assets for years.
Some are calling for a single agency to handle all recovered assets. It was tried in the UK at a cost of over £34 million and folded within a year. South Africa tried it too. Sixteen months. Look it up.
And consider the scale here. Over 20 statutory agencies recover assets for government. The Police alone have divisions in nearly every local government and stations in most wards, all forfeiting assets. No single agency could manage the Police holdings alone, let alone everyone else's. We should also remember AMCON, set up to manage recovered assets — government lost over ₦5 trillion there.
POCA got it right by placing the duty on each agency: what did you recover, and what have you done with it? That, alongside Section 31 of the EFCC Act, is the most effective model anywhere in the world.
So hold every agency to it. Ours goes up on our website within 24 hours, and our annual report has gone to the National Assembly on time every year of my tenure.
My pledge to Nigerians: not a pin nor a penny of recovered assets will be mismanaged under my watch.

🔵⚪️ Como president Mirwan Suwarso and club directors are giving up their Champions League seats for the UCL debut game against Leipzig.
Suwarso announced they prefer the seats to go to Como supporters born in 1950 or earlier, those who have followed the club through every era to celebrate this historical UCL debut.
This result does not even tell the whole story; Awolowo was actually stoned in Aba when he went to campaign there. The question to ask Ibos is- Was Awolowo too a drug baron & a corrupt man?
More significantly, Awolowo flew a Christian/Christian ticket with an Ibo running mate in a bid to satisfy them but they still didnt vote for him. This tells u that it has never been about integrity, competence or having baggage, it is & will always be about ETHNICITY! Religion is a convenient excuse!
Why is the Nigeria 🇳🇬 High Commission in UK 🇬🇧 making it very difficult to deliver the task handed to them by Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (@BTOofficial)?
This passport intervention programme has worked in other countries, why is the UK always different? This is not the first time they have made a mess of it.
Nigeria Immigration Service is not asking for anything extra but there are reports the Embassy is asking people to make extra payments. The entire process is also reportedly disorderly.
It appears there are some people in the Nigeria High Commission in London who are bent on sabotaging the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT)’s administration. This needs to be looked into ASAP.
When I resumed, the reports were there: operatives driving Range Rovers, living in Maitama. So we asked them directly — where did the house come from? The car? “A gift from my brother abroad.” Fine. Where is the evidence?
That is why we built a Gift and Hospitality Policy. Any asset above a set threshold must be declared and registered. The law permits certain traditional gifts; we define which ones you may accept and which you may not.
We renamed the Department of Internal Affairs the Department of Ethics and Integrity, because the work it does is internal cleansing.
In under three years I have dismissed over 40 staff for corruption and financial malpractice. More than five are already being prosecuted, with more case files in preparation. Those cases are in open court — you can follow them.
If I investigate and prosecute people in other MDAs for this, why would I merely dismiss my own?

In 1983, the same pattern emerged, but this time it was even worse. By then, Shagari's government (NPN) had demonstrated its incompetence, and the economy was in severe decline. Corruption had reached an all-time high, and ordinary citizens were struggling under the pressure. Zik's party (NPP) had formed a parliamentary alliance with the NPN, making them complicit in this incompetence. The logical alternative was the UPN considering her progressive policies of the party in the Western states and Bendel state. Nevertheless, the NPP managed to win in states that claimed, "We only vote based on competence, not ethnicity." Interestingly, Shagari's party came in second in those states. The reason for this was that Shagari had pardoned Ojukwu, who returned to the country and joined the NPP. Yet, they don't vote on ethnicity 🤡
If you like, let them continue to gaslight you. Your mumu will laugh at you one day.😁
NO EXTRA CHARGES FOR UK PASSPORT INTERVENTION - FG
The Federal Government has clarified that Nigerians participating in the ongoing special passport intervention exercise in the United Kingdom are not required to pay any charges beyond the official passport fees.
In a statement, the Special Adviser to the Minister of Interior on Media and Publicity, Alao Babatunde, indicates that the official fees remain 150 dollars for a five-year passport and 230 dollars for a ten-year passport, excluding bank charges.
The statement stresses that neither the Ministry of Interior nor the Nigeria Immigration Service has introduced any additional charges for the intervention exercise.
The Minister’s media aide adds that consultations are ongoing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address inconveniences experienced by applicants during the exercise.
Applicants are also advised to take advantage of the contactless biometric passport application system.
Thank you Lasisi for your Health Advocacy, you spoke well however your mother’s health was not somethg that happened suddenly according to you 2years ago
Your mother illness started in October of 2007 and She passed in March of 2022 according to what you shared on Chude’s podcast. You said, towards the end of Her illness, “She was already tired and wanted everything to end because of the debilitating pain. In addition to multiple hospitalizations and medical expenses Her prognosis was not looking good 😞😞😞
You were raised in Offa and you graduated from the University of Ilorin before you moved down to Lagos. Was there a time your Parents relocated to Lagos?
Did the Lagos Healthcare system failed to provide adequate care for your mom during the span of Her chronic illness that included 3 strokes, chronic pain, multiple procedures and immobility or She was never treated in Lagos?
The passion you exhibited on your recent podcast on the health Care System was missing 2yrs ago when you spoke extensively about your mom health issues with Chude…what changed?
A South African plant called Hoodia had been used by the San people for thousands of years to suppress hunger on long hunts. In 1995, a South African research council patented its active compound. That patent got sold to a UK company, which sold worldwide marketing rights to Pfizer, for $32 million, to build diet pills. The San people, who actually held that knowledge for generations, weren’t the ones who got rich off it.
That’s the pattern. Western researchers come here, sit with our traditional healers, study the herbs and roots theyve used for generations, then go back home and turn it into patents, tablets, and multi-million dollar products. Meanwhile, our own medical students rarely walk into a traditional healer’s compound to learn anything. They graduate knowing Western pharmacology inside and out, and know almost nothing about the herbal knowledge sitting in their own communities.
It’s not just medicine. We have snake doctors across this continent with real, tested skill in treating venom, but no young person is apprenticing under them to refine and modernize that knowledge. We have market women and local traders who understand our economies better than any imported theory ever will, but our economics students aren’t studying how they actually operate. We have blacksmiths, builders, herbalists, all holding knowledge built over centuries, and almost nobody coming back to learn from them, document it, or improve on it.
Look at a place like Iran: they took their own building traditions and refined them over centuries into something the world now studies. We keep doing the opposite, abandoning what’s ours the moment something foreign shows up, without ever asking if what we already had was worth keeping.
Nobody made us believe our own knowledge was worth less. We just stopped defending it.
I’m pretty disappointed that I grew up believing bad people would face consequences for doing terrible things, only to become an adult and realize that bad people literally get away with everything. Sometimes, they even get rewarded for it.
