@apistone I haven’t read it, so I don’t know how much it specifically engages with Hesiod, but ‘Work & Days’ by Tess Taylor might fit what they’re looking for! https://t.co/2a2HCEDA2K
I panicked yesterday because I thought I’d somehow failed a class I audited. Turns out, a U is the audit equivalent of a P and does not, in fact, stand for unsatisfactory like it did on elementary school report cards.

@arj520: “Did you eat NINE cookies?”
Me: “...”
A: “You ate ramen and nine cookies for dinner?!”
Me: *decides now is as good a time as ever to admit I also ate four cookies worth of cookie dough while the aforementioned cookies were baking*
Me: Listening to and trying to repeat my French vocab words. Failing horribly.
@arj520: Oh so kindly pulls up the Friends clip where Joey’s trying to learn French: “This is how you sound right now...”
I’m definitely ready for this semester.
@arj520 and I were having a great conversation. . . until I sat up, yelled, and ran out of the room because I realized I had an entire chocolate bar of the pocket of the jacket that I had just washed.
Today’s lesson: washing a Hershey’s bar does not diminish its deliciousness
Me: applies sunscreen poorly and gets rather sunburned at the pool
@arj520: “Oh, your legs look like crab legs... you know, cause they’re only red on one side... But hey, the backs of your arms look fantastic!”
This is just to say
I have slept with my mother
who was also
my wife
and killed my father whom
you were probably
honoring
as king
Forgive me
I was ignorant
so blind
so so blind.
