True power is found when one is calm. Anybody can react, rage, argue, or lose control. Strength is being able to remain composed when everything around you is trying to pull you out of yourself. A calm mind sees clearly, moves deliberately, and rarely gives people the satisfaction of controlling its response.
Intelligence is actually a liability if you don’t have enough courage to balance it out. You will have ideas about what to do, but you will watch other people do it. You will have smart things to say, but you won’t say them, and you will accumulate anxiety. You will have a good idea of the life you want, but you will never build it. The smarter you are, the more courage you need if you want to live a happy life.
Being alone is the best type of life. No conflicts, no chaos, no expectations so no disappointments, no heartbreaks, no disagreements, no let down feeling, no relationships issues. Just peace and doing your own thing.
women really do start yapping when they like you and honestly, it’s adorable. suddenly every random thought needs to be shared. she’s telling you about something that happened three years ago, then somehow she’s talking about what she saw on the internet five minutes ago, then she’s remembered another story halfway through the first one. and you just sit there smiling, asking questions and encouraging the chaos because you genuinely love hearing her talk.
then she suddenly stops and goes, “wait, am i talking too much?”
no, baby. keep going. i’m enjoying every second of it 😂❤️
There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you, and it’s not about missing you, distance, holding hands, or any of the usual romantic things. It’s about how much I genuinely appreciate the person you are.
I don't think people always realize how much of an impact they have on someone else's life. Sometimes it's not one huge thing that makes you important to someone. It's the accumulation of all the little things. The way you speak, the way you react to certain situations, the things you get excited about, the things you care about, even the little habits you probably don't think twice about. Somehow, all of those pieces have become things I know and recognize about you.
And I really like knowing you.
I like being able to learn more about you as time goes on. I like discovering the parts of you that aren't immediately obvious. The more comfortable we become with each other, the more I realize that I don't just love having you around—I genuinely enjoy the person you are. I enjoy your mind, your personality, your way of seeing things, and even the little differences between us that make you uniquely you.
I don't want you to ever feel like you have to constantly do something impressive to deserve my affection. You don't have to entertain me, always be in a good mood, or have everything together. I want to know the real you. The tired you. The quiet you. The overly excited you. The stubborn you. The soft you. All of it.
And I want you to know that I'm grateful for the trust you give me whenever you let me see those sides of you.
I think that's one of the most beautiful things about getting close to someone. Eventually, you stop trying to present the perfect version of yourself, and you start letting that person see who you actually are. That's the kind of closeness I want with you. Something honest enough that neither of us has to constantly wonder whether we're being accepted for who we really are.
So if I don't always say it perfectly, please understand that I notice you. I appreciate you. I pay attention to you. And I don't take for granted the fact that out of all the people in the world, I get to know you this closely.
You are someone I genuinely value, and that's something I hope you never have to question.
one of the greatest things you can build in yourself is the ability to just figure it out. you don’t need to know how. you don’t need the answer yet. you just need that little voice that goes, fuck it. I’ll figure it out. then you do. over and over. eventually you stop being so afraid of what you don’t know.
