That's what #KamalaHarris ran on, what's on her decades-long resume, what was in her VP portfolio, and the message of her #OpportunityEconomy plan.
And the "work and discipline" Beshear advocates for is what got VP this far.
Maybe it sounds different from a white man's mouth.
I know no one is really in the mood for positivity right now but Georgia suburbs shifting left by like high single digits in *the* biggest red election since 2004 is actually nuts.
@CautiousLefty So Kamala prevented a bloodbath for Dems in every chamber. Hate that she had to be a political martyr/sacrifice. 🥲
Thanks @KamalaHarris for fighting for us.
Latest numbers: across the seven battleground states, the '20-'24 swing towards Trump was ~3.1 pts. Across the other 43 states (+DC), it was ~6.7 pts.
Bottom line: the Harris campaign swam impressively against some very strong underlying currents.
Here’s what I think will happen. Republicans are going to mistake this win as an endorsement of their extremist agenda, when it was actually about inflation and part of global anti-incumbency trends.
They will overreach, repulse the public, and Dems will win in 2026 and 2028.
Almost every Dem Senate candidate (all incumbents) will win while Kamala lost on the same ballot is wild.
Also we still have a very narrow shot to win the house. Clearly ppl support Dems but not the Biden/Harris admin.
I'm optimistic about 2026, if we still have elections...
Breaking:
California Gov. Gavin Newsom just called for a legislative special session to be held in Sacramento on Dec. 2, just weeks before Trump takes office, "to safeguard California values and fundamental rights in the face of an incoming Trump administration."
It will initially focus on funding state litigation around Trump administration actions that might impact civil liberties, reproductive rights, immigrant protections and climate action in the state. https://t.co/kXsPoZW2G2
💀💀💀
So many stories of people learning about the repercussions of Trump winning ex post factor and realizing they made a mistake.
America has a problem.
Someone was being pro-Trump at work, I told them “do you know your position is paid for by SPED dollars, which will go away if he gets rid of the DOE?”
They were dumbfounded
Agreed. We should’ve been going extreme to fight to protect our systems in case he ever did win, which he did. We were too confident in winning as the strategy.
Americans like that the GOP fights at all costs, even if it will hurt them in the end.
New in PN: The global anti-incumbent backlash doomed Kamala Harris
"Dems hoped to stave off fascism in the Trump era by never losing. That was never feasible, and now that it's failed, we face the consequences of not prosecuting Trump quickly after J6." https://t.co/vMLqxI9aAk
This full thread from the @WisDems state chair gives me hope. Harris did better than Biden and Obama in most parts of the state, but Trump really drove more new and low propensity voters to the polls that was ever predicted possible.
WI experienced the smallest swing right.
The red wave hit this year: a ~6% national swing to Trump, from 2020 margins.
In Wisconsin, thousands of heroes pulled the swing down to 1.5%. More D votes statewide & in 46 counties. Tammy Baldwin won. Huge wins in the state legislature.
Deeply grateful to all—it mattered.

I have a friend. His mother is an undocumented immigrant. He admitted today that he voted for Trump due to concerns about inflation.
I just don't even know what to say anymore: he's college educated, but he still thinks Trump wasn't talking about his mom.
The Blue Dog coalition of the Dem party will be the new reigning ideology on the Left.
Idk why progressives though not voting or voting third party was going to increase their influence/power....
