Dear @NMC_BHARAT
We FMGs, request you to kindly take prompt action on the issues that are troubling thousands of us. Despite visiting NMC every 3–4 days, it feels as though the system remains silent on our genuine concerns.
We are strictly following all NMC guidelines, yet several State Medical Councils themselves are not complying with it. Therefore, we urge immediate intervention.
• The PSM posting issue in Delhi.
• The extension of tenure for non‑teaching hospitals to allow FMGs to complete internships.
• Exemption from the FMGL‑21 regulation for the 2021–22 admission batch, as we have already requested.
Your swift action can save the careers of many FMGs. We will be truly grateful for your support.

Dear @LtGovDelhi & @SandhuTaranjitS sir
We urgently seek your intervention in the PSM posting issue being delayed by @MCD_Delhi . Hundreds of Foreign Medical Graduate(FMGs) doctors are waiting for their postings due to improper coordination and unnecessary delays in the process.
For the past month, we FMGs have repeatedly visited both @NMC_BHARAT and DMC to secure our PSM postings. Even today, we approached DMC and requested them to expedite the process. While DMC has already mailed @MCD_Delhi , the matter continues to be delayed from MCD end.
We sincerely request @MCD_Delhi & @SandhuTaranjitS sir to resolve this issue at the earliest to save the valuable time and efforts of future doctors.

When COVID struck, the entire world including medical colleges in India and abroad shifted to online learning. FMGs followed the rules that existed at the time. After 6 years, why are only they being singled out to “compensate”? This feels inconsistent and discriminatory.
We also need stability. Rules changing in short term create unbearable stress on students who are already giving their all to become doctors. FMGs only seek fairness and a consistent policy that treats every future doctor equally. #FairRulesForFMGs

In the same state, Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs)qualified doctors are working tirelessly during their internships, often clocking long hours in hospitals, yet receiving no stipend at all.
This is not just unfair,it’s demoralizing.
FMGs contribute equally to patient care, emergency duties, and ward responsibilities.
We respectfully urge you to ensure that Delhi FMGs are paid a fair stipend, just like their peers.
Equal work must mean equal dignity.
#PayStipendToFMGs
The Supreme Court is in Delhi. The NMC is in Delhi. The Health Ministry is in Delhi. Yet FMGs working in Delhi hospitals are still not receiving stipends, despite clear directives from the Supreme Court and @NMC_BHARAT.
No one can deny that the workload in Delhi’s hospitals is overwhelming. Expecting doctors to work day and night without earning even a single rupee is deeply unjust.
While a few states provide stipends, most don’t pay a single rupee.
This is the unfortunate reality of our medical education system.
Requesting @MoHFW_INDIA@NMC_BHARAT@JPNadda@gupta_rekha to resolve this issue.

150 more seats for FMG internship already available. No allotment, No PR, No GST, No NoC. Elected members dissolved, no salary to staff, no interim registrar. Appoint Interim Registrar in the larger interests @gupta_rekha@FordaIndia@Indian__doctor@DrRebellious@FAIMA_INDIA_
Why FMGs have to wait for internship for months? NMC should arrange enough seats for the same. In Bihar FMGs waiting for last 4 months. This duration should be compensated by waiving out of total duration. Even Delhi is 0️⃣ @NMC_IND@JPNadda@NitishKumar@official_afa_@PMOIndia
The plight of Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) in India is a glaring injustice. Despite clearing their exams in January, FMGs in states like DELHI, BIHAR, ANDHRA,TAMILNADU many other states are still awaiting internships, languishing for 4-5 months.
This delay in a top-tier profession like medicine exposes a shameful systemic failure. If the medical field, critical to saving lives, treats its graduates with such neglect -denying them timely opportunities to serve-imagine the state of other professions. This not only demoralizes aspiring doctors but also undermines healthcare delivery. Authorities must address this promptly, ensuring FMGs get their due internship. A nation’s progress hinges on empowering its doctors, not sidelining them. #FMGs

Over 50 FMGs of DELHI went to NMC demanding swift action on internship delays. Despite clearing FMGE in January, around 300 fmgs are facing months of waiting, financial strain, and career setbacks. Their dreams and career are stalled by bureaucratic hurdles. Urge @NMC_BHARAT to resolve this crisis! #FMGJustice @DalmiyaDr@drlakshyamittal@FordaIndia@DrDhruvchauhan
If you're around Pathankot or in Dharamshala for the IPL and are stuck due to the current situation, I have a homestay in Dharamshala that can comfortably accommodate 10–15 people. Feel free to reach out. Please retweet so it reaches someone in need.
It takes 6 years of MBBS degree , 1 year of FMG exam clearance , 1 year of internship with 1 year of extra Internship allotment torture for FMGs by the Medical councils to begin their career .
If you are opting for MBBS abroad , be prepared for all this Mental trauma
Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) encounter significant career roadblocks due to delays in starting mandatory internships in India. States like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan,Maharashtra..etc often take 4-5 months after result declaration to allocate internship seats, stalling professional growth. These delays exacerbate financial and mental burdens.
A streamlined process, with internships starting within 2 months of releasing scorecard, would mitigate these issues, enabling FMGs to contribute to India’s healthcare system sooner.
The National Medical Commission (@NMC_BHARAT ) can enforce uniform timelines, standardize documentation, and coordinate with state medical councils to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks.
This reform would reduce stress, enhance career momentum, and address workforce shortages.

This is how Bihar government is being BIASED against FMGs for recruitment in government jobs for doctors
Indian Medical graduates multiplier is 1.0
Foreign medical graduates multiplier is 0.6
Now lets understand this by Example:
Imagine that an IMGs final year university exams marks are 67% so, after multiplier the final score is 67*1.0 = 67
Now, imagine an FMG scored 190/300=63% in FMG screening test.
So, after multiplier the score is now 63*0.6=37
In Final merit list IMG get 67 and FMGs get 37.
Will FMGs be able to make through any Government medical officer job vacancy evenafter scoring good score in FMGE???
This is heartbreaking 💔

🚨 Big move by the PMO! Directs Union Health Ministry to take strict action against medical colleges for non-payment of stipends to undergrad interns, PG residents, and senior residents. Over 60 of 500+ colleges have failed to pay and with FMGs this number is 400+, leaving students working 20-hour days without compensation. Dr. KV Babu’s (@drbabukv)RTI exposes the crisis—yet the National Medical Commission (@NMC_BHARAT)remains silent.
