@timstillman_ Went to 5 at the back, full backs got overloaded as no wingers to help double up. Allowed lots of quality crosses which despite all the CBs we still gave up free headers on. And to add to that we were so deep we gave up free shots on the D. Awful.

@scottjwillis @OliverT Marginally better yes, but at expense of making it much much worse for Europe/Africa. FIFA are not stupid, more people watch TV when they are awake. Putting marquee games on at a time when all of Europe/Africa/North & South America are awake is a no brainer

@scottjwillis @goonerkevin Yes so people can experience it, ie go to the games, have all the global fan bases in that country. I think the premise that the sole reason for hosting a world cup is to optimise weekday kickoff times for domestic TV audiences is a bit odd.

@YankeeGunner Not sure if just a quirk of the fixtures, but noticed that our next 38 league games are all against teams that finished below us last season. Which is nice!

@scottjwillis Do you know if there have been any changes this year in how opta classify SP chances? I seem to remember earlier in the season there were a few AFC goals I was surprised to see classed as set piece goals, since they were a phase or 2 after the SP

@arse2mouse Not sure she does. Suspect it is just to try to put some pressure on whoever the ref is for the 2nd leg. Classic Fergie tactic to try and build a narrative for the officials ahead of a big game
