The damage has been done. Just apologise to the people of Telangana unconditionally.

The people of Telangana remember very clearly how the BJP betrayed the Telangana cause after promising “One Vote, Two States” as part of its Kakinada Resolution in 1997.

We remember how L. K. Advani, as Union Home Minister, rejected the Telangana demand in 2002.

We vividly remember how current Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy chickened out when asked to resign during the statehood agitation.

We have not forgotten how BJP MP M. Venkaiah Naidu tried to stall the AP Reorganisation Bill in the Rajya Sabha.

We will not forget how PM Narendra Modi insulted Telangana by saying, “They killed the mother to save the child.”

We, the people of Telangana, clearly understand the BJP’s constant opposition to the statehood cause.

None of us will forget how, for 12 long years, the BJP-led Union government has been discriminating against Telangana by not fulfilling bifurcation promises and by denying crucial projects.

We will ensure that the BJP is rooted out from Telangana.
