Reminder: our film night is today at 18:00! Join us to watch 'Have you seen the arana?' by Sunanda Bhat and then join us for a talk with the director herself tomorrow at 11:00!

'Have you seen the arana' explores the effects of a rapidly changing #landscape on lives and livelihoods in Wayanad, in #SouthIndia. A journey through a rich and #biodiverse region that is witnessing a drastic transformation in the name of ‘#development’.
Sunanda Bhat is a #documentary filmmaker based in #Bangalore. Her interest is to represent people living in an intricate and stratified #Indian#society, while looking for ways to bring in textures of #landscape through layers of their lives.
Are you interested in the #biodiversity of #southindia, how it is impacted by #development, and the stories of those who make their living in these remarkable #landscapes?
'Have you seen the arana' by award winning director Sunanda Bhat is what we'll be screening next!

@MAHSA_Project Of course, term not semester! We're in the process of confirming films and we may also have their directors involved. An opportunity to ask about a very different field experience.

After a long absence we are back! This semester we're doing something a little different.
We're organising a series of coffee get togethers and film showings. And if we're lucky we might even have a director or two talk about their work!

First up in our series is 'Period. End of Sentence'. Come along for the hot drinks and conversation and stay for an engaging and empowering look at women taking charge of their needs in India.
