@BillAckman Yeah, why not. Last time we invaded a four letter country that started with Ira because it had weapons of mass destruction, it went so well for everyone.
@theallinpod@reidhoffman@OpenAI Love that you had Reid on and asked him tough questions. But interrupting your guest repeatedly and springing an unexpected co-guest on him is unacceptable. No left-leaning person will want to come on after this.
@IsaacKing314@atroyn No actual evidence needs to be involved to have a Bayesian probability!
Even for objectivists, Bayesian probabilities can be completely contrary to presented evidence (i.e., in case the prior distribution places no weight in the heaviest part of the data distribution).
@emollick This is a great study! Given the key role of the frontier, it would be really cool to systematically investigate what puts a task inside and outside of it and see if there is any consistency across models to get one step closer to a "manual" for LLMs
Why's no one talking about the last time an emerging technology was rapidly slowed down due to perceived risk?
- Blocked Golden Rice, many lives lost https://t.co/vril01Q8Ik
- Stoked FUD re emerging biotech that helped stoke covid-vaccine FUD https://t.co/7Rr3c9cw88
- EU perpetuated famine https://t.co/nvuHyhqqy1
#degrowth is the reversal of centuries of progress coated in populist anti-corporate and environmentalist slogans.

Do you want to stop progress?
