@AriDrennen@That0neHeather@DeathlyAcorn I think I see where you were coming from. I'm still not thrilled with the implications of that and even if I was it's not like it's my place to "forgive you" on anyone else's behalf. But neither do I feel the need to unfollow you or anything. Thank you for the clarification.
@AriDrennen@That0neHeather@DeathlyAcorn Ari, as a longtime follower and somebody who at one point you decided to follow back (though I don't flatter myself to think either of us actually know eachother) I would genuinely appreciate an explanation if you are open to providing one.
@koshercockney Degenerative neuromuscular disease doesn't turn you into a skeleton. Starvation does that. Are you saying it doesn't matter that this child is being starved because they're disabled?
@Marloges@NEEMOAHTOAD I'm a fan of games where you can unlock everything eventually but you have a mix of passive stuff and active stuff the latter of which you can only equip some portion of what you unlock at any time.
@Marloges@NEEMOAHTOAD There is no reason single player games (or even multi-player) should prevent you from re-speccing at will, as often as you care to, for no penalty.
@amberwb@CoraCHarrington Unfortunately I don't use aud*bl* so that can be a bit cumbersome, but it's not something I do often so I haven't really needed to find a better solution so far. The worst is when it happens when I'm driving and I have to hope I remember to check when I stop.
@amberwb@CoraCHarrington I don't think I've done it in sync like that myself, but I have looked up the text version to double check some word the narrator pronounced/audio quality garbled strangely or to bookmark something I liked or whatever.
@FrankiTheB@CoraCHarrington I do agree with this and I've experienced minor frustration with it myself occasionally, but usually I just hit the back button a few times or even a lot of times and it's close enough that I don't mind. It's a totally worthy (highly subjective) trade-off for me.
@amberwb@CoraCHarrington For sure, ultimately more options are better because no method will work universally. For me I find audio much easier to focus on and absorb than traditional visual reading at this point. But that's been different at different points in my life so it could change again.
@RoxyTall Fwiw, this is disgustingly common but also far from Universal. Many people do have filters here and plenty of municipalities have perfectly fine water straight from the tap.
@ShreddedSteel0 @realonx1 @elleam07 Weird cuz I barely engage with NZ media and I just heard several separate contestants say it on NZ Taskmaster across a few seasons.
