Tatkal was supposed to open at 11:00 AM.

I was logged in and ready well before that.

The moment the clock struck 11, IRCTC started showing its real face.

❌ Too Much Traffic

❌ Session Expired

❌ Server Error

❌ Logged Out

❌ Payment Page Crash

Every time I selected a seat, I was logged out.

Logged in again, another error.

Reached the payment page, got thrown out again.

The real question is: after spending thousands of crores on Digital India and technology upgrades, why can't IRCTC handle a basic ticket booking system?

Ordinary passengers struggle for just 2 tickets, while touts and agents somehow manage to grab dozens within minutes.

If the server crashes during every Tatkal booking window, this isn't "Too Much Traffic" —it's "Too Much Incompetence."

Passengers lose time, opportunities, and peace of mind while the system keeps failing at the exact moment it's needed most.

IRCTC doesn't need more excuses. It needs accountability.

Booking a Tatkal ticket today feels less like a railway service and more like fighting an online war. @IRCTCofficial
