Things the recovery industry will not tell you:
1. The drug worked. That is why people use it. Not weakness. Not moral failure.
A neurological event so complete and persuasive that any honest account of addiction has to start there.
The problem is not that the drug fails. The problem is that what it does is unrepeatable, and you will burn your entire life to the ground trying to get back to a place that no longer exists.
2. Shame is not guilt. Guilt says I did something bad. Shame says I am something bad. Guilt is appropriate. Shame is a cell with no windows. Most people use the words interchangeably. That mistake is lethal.
3. You cannot shame someone who has already named the thing you are holding over them. Say it first. Say it in plain light. The weapon drops.
4. Guilt can coexist with self-respect. Shame cannot. You can hold the damage and the dignity at the same time. I know because I live there.
5. Radical honesty does not give you back who you were. It hands you the clean slate of who you always wanted to be. The mask comes off. The cartoon other people drew of you stays on the page.
6. Nobody gets clean on a winning streak.
7. You have to be almost self-delusional in your forgiveness of yourself. (Go watch Chase Hughes)
8. The greatest sin was not the chaos. It was the absence. Being unavailable to the people who needed you.
9. Sustainable recovery starts with one thing: honesty with yourself. If you love an addict and want to help, that is the only door in.
10. I am only an expert on my recovery. Nobody is an expert on anyone else’s.
They're loud enough they drown out the sound coming from the speakers... lmfao 😭💀 meanwhile, there are those on the right who are trying to cope like "guys, the boos weren't that loud! They weren't really booing him that much, it wasn't like that! Pls guys, trust me!" 🤣
"I have a problem with Talarico dating a suborindate".
Firstly, Irma Reyes wasn't a subordinate.
Secondly, Pete Hegseth's second wife was his subordinate, as was his third wife.
This DUMB MOTHERFUCKER used 270 to win to try & fabricate this bs that Rs are favored now, but ON THE SAME EXACT PAGE HE SCREENSHOTTED, IT SHOWS DEMS TO TAKE 224 SEATS, per Kalshi... Funny how, as soon as a prediction market doesn't help them they pretend they don't exist.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Republicans are now favored to WIN THE US HOUSE in the 2026 midterms by the latest Inside Elections forecast
They'd only need 7% — or ONE — of the 14 tossups to obtain a majority
🔴 Republican: 217 🔥
🔵 Democratic: 204
🟡 Tossup: 14
Redistricting has been HUGE for MAGA!
Now imagine if Indiana and South Carolina had redrawn...we'd already be over 218 needed for a majority!
Keep pushing, pass the SAVE America Act, listen to President Trump and WIN! 🇺🇸
Kellyanne: Is there any number of scandals that would make you stop? Putting on with women that are not your wife? Would it be the lying? Would it be insulting heroes? Is power really worth that to you?
Platner: Susan Collins said she would only serve two terms. She's now running for her sixth. She has worked in politics longer than Joe Biden. She hasn't held a town hall since I was in eighth grade. I've held 83 town halls in the past eight months. What are you trying to hide?
Old enough to remember when MAGA was falsely claiming no signature requirements in California (last week)
This week? They’re mad there are signature verification checks
Beginning to think they’re just operating in bad faith
