The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India extends its heartfelt congratulations to all five Indian students for winning Gold Medals at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2026, held in Bucaramanga, Colombia.

The Indian team: Kanishk Jain, Riddhesh Anant Bendale, Rishit Garg, Shresth Suraiy, and Svarit Joshi, secured a Joint World Rank 1, alongside China, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, and Taiwan, among 381 participants from 87 countries. The team was guided by Prof. Anwesh Mazumdar (@HBCSE_TIFR) and Dr. Leena Joshi (St. Xavier's College, Mumbai) as team leaders, with Prof. Ananda Dasgupta (@iiserkol) and Ms. Nisha Kelkar (Gogate-Joglekar College) serving as scientific observers.

This marks India's 27th participation at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), and the nation's legacy of excellence continues to grow. Over the past 10 years, every Indian participant has returned with either a Gold or Silver Medal, reflecting the country's sustained commitment to nurturing world-class scientific talent.

A YouTuber named Rider Veer Ji conducted a mileage test on a 2.5-year-old Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI Manual, comparing E20 Petrol and XP100 Petrol.

• E20 Petrol (20% Ethanol, ₹112/L)
• XP100 Petrol (0% Ethanol, ₹167/L)

Test 1: 5L E20 Petrol

• Average Speed: 57 km/h
• Distance: 97 km
• Mileage: 19.2 km/l

Test 2: 5L XP100 Petrol

• Average Speed: 61 km/h
• Distance: 116 km
• Mileage: 23.2 km/l

Result:
XP100 covered 19 km more on the same 5 litres, delivering around 21% better mileage in this test.

Govt claim: E20 reduces mileage by 3–5%.

This test: ~19–21% lower mileage with E20.

I was on my way to Datia when my bike broke down. I had to drag it for nearly 500 meters to the nearest mechanic. According to him, the culprit was E20 petrol.

When I asked what the main issue was, he said the gasket, O-rings, and fuel injector are the parts most commonly damaged because of ethanol, which can cause the rubber components to harden and deteriorate over time.

Earlier, my bike used to give around 50 km/l, but now the mileage has dropped to 40 km/l.

I don’t know what else to say, but fuck your E20 policy, Nitin Gadkari.

भाजपा सरकार में इधर 4700 करोड़ से बना लखनऊ-कानपुर एक्सप्रेसवे उद्घाटन से पहले धँसा, उधर भाजपा की ही सरकार में महाराष्ट्र में 6700 करोड़ में बना ‘मिसिंग लिंक’ का हाल-बेहाल हुआ जिससे वो भाजपा सरकार और भ्रष्टाचारियों के ‘कनेक्टिंग लिंक’ के रूप में पूरे विश्व में बदनाम हो गया। भाजपा शासित राज्यों में ‘महा-भ्रष्टाचार की प्रतियोगिता’ चल रही है क्या? ये दोनों लखनऊवालों ने डिज़ाइन किए हैं क्या?

जितना समय दो शहरों के बीच लगेगा उससे ज़्यादा तो एक्सप्रेसवे से शहर में प्रवेश करने में लगेगा। जनता पूछ रही है कि ये जनता की सुविधा के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है या भाजपाई ठेकेदारों को मुनाफ़ा कमवाने के लिए?

अगर भ्रष्टाचार की वजह से यही हाल रहा तो 40 मिनट के सफ़र पर निकलने से पहले यात्री 40 बार सोचेगा। गति यदि सुरक्षित नहीं है तो उसका कोई अर्थ नहीं है।
