שמע, באמת שאני לא נפגע ממך ולא מתרגש. כבר עברתי כמה דברים קשים יותר בחיים, למשל כשנפצעתי קשה בלבנון ואז אגב פינו אותי על אלונקה 4 חיילים יהודים תחת אש מול מארב של חיזבאללה וסיכנו את החיים שלהם... למה הם עשו את זה? כי אני "ערבי מחמד"?
אני כבר עשור עמוק בעשייה הסברתית למען המדינה, אלפי ראיונות בתקשורת זרה, הגעתי לקמפוסים הכי עוינים, עמדתי מול הפגנות של אנטי ישראלים, הותקפתי, חטפתי, עשיתי הכל בשביל להגן על המדינה בחזית הזו- אבל מבחינת דרוקר הכל לא קיים... אם יש יהודים שמעריכים את מי שאני זה כנראה רק כי אני פשוט "ערבי מחמד".
תבין משהו רביב- כשאתה אומר את זה אולי אתה מנסה להקטין אותי, את העשייה שלי, את מי שאני, אבל אתה למעשה מקטין את עצמך.
הרי אם יש ערבי שאוהב את המדינה, שנלחם למענה, נפצע למענה, מסביר אותה- הוא פשוט ערבי מחמד בעיניך ולא יותר. אתה הרי קבעת כבר איך אזרח ערבי צריך לפעול ולחשוב.
מעניין למה לכל מיני יהודים שאתה מכיר מקרוב מאוד שמתחנפים לפלסטינים ובזים למדינה שלנו אתה לא קורא "יהודי מחמד"...

If Israel had lost the 1948 war, where exactly would a Palestinian state have been?

Most likely, nowhere.

The territory would have been divided between Jordan and Egypt, just as it was before 1967.

How do we know?

Because the PLO's 1964 Charter explicitly stated that it made no claim to the West Bank, then under Jordanian control, or Gaza, then under Egyptian control.

Its focus was on eliminating Jewish sovereignty.

Hamas's 1988 Charter was even more explicit.
It called for the destruction of Israel and framed the conflict in Islamist terms, but it never presented the creation of a Palestinian state as an objective.
Literally no mentioning of a Palestinian state.

That's why I believe the core of this conflict has never been simply about building a Palestinian state.
It has been about rejecting a Jewish one.

Real peace will only become possible when Palestinian leadership and society replaces the goal of destroying Israel with a positive vision for building their own future.
