It is heartbreaking to see Nadia, a survivor of the ISIS genocide against the Yazidis, where women were raped and sold, endorsing the representative of a country that backs the same crimes in Sudan and Libya and helps normalize Israeli settler colonialism.
The UAE is literally the reason the RSF has the capacity to commit genocide in Sudan, and now you're arguing that the UAE should basically take control of the UN?
We all know that your intention is for Israel & the UAE to split control of the region between them
Palestinians in Gaza are struggling to secure bread and flour after the World Food Programme ended monthly assistance to 500,000 people on October 19 due to a funding shortfall, despite acute humanitarian needs.

Let's not forget that Lana herself is part of the UAE's killing machine and played a pivotal role in removing the name of the UAE from the EU's final resolution. She travelled to the EU and lobbied its members for this goal.
She has blood on her hands and can't lead the UN.
As we await a devastating new escalation in the Iran War, consider how exposed the Gulf states are and how little leverage they have over events.
Why can't Gulf states defend themselves? What will it take for them to be able to? What does their future look like?
A megathread:
▪️Three children have been wounded after the roof of their dilapidating home, which had been bombed by Israeli occupation military, collapsed on their heads..
Lana Nusseibeh lobbied EU lawmakers against naming the UAE’s support for the RSF in a resolution on Sudan & the final text ultimately omitted the UAE. Her bid to lead the UN is another attempt by the UAE to whitewash its crimes in the genocide of Sudanese civilians.
The United Nations should confront impunity, not crown it.
The UAE has put forward a candidate for UN secretary-general. Its record is appalling.
It has armed Sudan’s genocidal RSF militia, which has carried out mass murder and mass rape. It also stands accused of arming and financing warlords and militias in Libya and across the Middle East—empowering war criminals who rule through violence and brutal repression.
It has bankrolled Trump and the dictators who crushed the Arab Spring, helping extinguish millions of people’s hopes for democracy, dignity, and freedom.
Elevating a UAE candidate to UN secretary-general would not be a triumph of diplomacy. It would be a debasement of the international system: rewarding a corrupt regime accused of enabling atrocities with leadership of the very institution charged with preventing them.
Nusseibeh stands out because she unapologetically represents the UAE, which supports not one but two active genocides simultaneously. Her mere candidacy makes a mockery of the international system.
