@Astropartigirl@astronoliver@article82 Adiabatic contraction enters this model at the level of changing the starting profile from NFW to an adiabatically contracted NFW. This only changes the final profile if it increases the mass within a radius where there has been ~1 scattering per particle over the age of the halo
@Astropartigirl@astronoliver@article82 The model starts with an NFW profile (assumed to be the DM profile in the absence of self-interactions), and then answers the question: “how would this density profile be affected by self-interactions and the (known) baryonic potential?”.
