We put the first @SimonsObs Small Aperture Telescope in its vacuum bag and on its comfy shipping pallet yesterday at @ucsdastro and then said goodbye until we meet it in its final home in Chile!
It is a flurry of activity around the high bay today, leak checking the cryostat and vacuum windows, and prepping the telescopes for installation later this weekend. #AntarcticScience#SpiderCMB
While we've been busy removing dusty foregrounds in our hunt for cosmic inflation signals, Stanford grad student @halal_george led work together with @suzIQUV using our data & maps of neutral hydrogen emission to characterize Galactic dust #filaments. 1/6

Join the party in welcoming SO-UK to our efforts to understand the early universe with CMB observations. Two more SATs will expand on @SimonsObs capabilities. I'm looking forward to stronger ties and more collaboration with our partners across the pond! https://t.co/4I4j4xjagT
Congrats to our faculty members who’ve earned @NSF Early Career Development Awards! 🎉

So close we can almost taste it.....okay, please don't lick the camera.
Our #LSSTCamera, the biggest digital camera in the world, is getting close to completion @SLAClab! 🎉 It's not done yet, but it's looking pretty photogenic 📸

AND THAT'S A WRAP! SOFIA's flights are over, but its legacy lives on.
This month FLEW by. We hope you enjoyed learning with us! Though our flight operations are ending, we will continue to share exciting science with you. #SOFIAFinalFlight
That was a good show, and not just because I aced the quiz! Fun to learn a thing or two about exomoons and some of the big observational challenges ahead with guest @alexteachey
I used to laugh at the jokes that “all experimental cosmologists are just plumbers in disguise” until I found myself in the plumbing aisle buying lab supplies to fix a chilled water issue…
Got the bivalent booster and flu shot, ready to hit the couch and watch some #LordOfTheRings and/or #HouseOfTheDragon this weekend. Going to assume the plots are pretty simple and easy to follow in case I'm not totally awake.
Ig-Nobels are out! And meese collisions are terrifying... Physics coming in 'd'awww cute' this year with studies of duckling formations. https://t.co/ZUpmJNzjoL
