@lsanger There is Tox (https://t.co/kzmLtMbe1R) which is fairly capable, GNU, "decentralized", P2P, encrypted, but has it's own issues like with Tor where decentralized routing can become massively centralized by a gov't having a large stake in servers. P2P, so only metadata would suffer.
